Hey,

I could use some guidance on this grow, please. I had the same issue last grow with the lower leaves turning pale at the edges and then brown and crispy in the centers. It thought it was over watering and too many nutrients (advanced perfect Ph trio) too soon. But now I’m second-guessing.

On to this grow. Made a lot of adjustments and have been seeing an improved grow. It’s been three weeks since sprouting; I’ve been watering weekly; first two were 32 oz, PH 6.3 degassed tap water. The past two waters I’ve given 64 oz and added .5 ml cal mag.

I’m not a fan of autos, but it was a freebie and sounded fun, so here I am. Thanks for sharing your wisdom!

Don’t worry about the bottom leaves. The plant will naturally shed its lower leaves as it matures.

How’s the new growth look up top? The new new just pushing out?

@Fieldofdreams It’s looking healthy. So far. It does seem to be growing slowly, though.

The tips are a little concerning but hopefully by next wk she’ll be trucking right along.

Temperature around 80 F will likely help with that. I run 80 - 85+ F.

Thanks, @Fieldofdreams ! Any suggestions for identifying/correcting whatever might be causing the yellowing? I watered and gave cal mag on the 16th. Planning to water with cal mag and introduce micro and grow on Sunday.

Thanks, @merlin44 ! Cooler temperatures have been an issue. I’ll warm up the tent a little more and get her growing

Remember, cannabis is a tropical plant.

@merlin44 Right! I’ve been worried about “cooking” the plant with too high temps. Makes sense why this and my last grow were slow. Humidity is around 75%-80%

This is usually an issue when the temperatures get above 95 F for extended periods of time. The higher temperature will also reduce your rH.

Let’s see if your recent changes have an effect on the next set to push out. Maybe these tips have some residual issues from earlier? Post updates from time to time

Thank you, @Fieldofdreams I will!

Woke up to this:

I’m thinking part of the reason she’s struggling is because when I watered her on Friday, I picked up the jar (32 oz) without nutrients (ugh) and dumped it in, then added the second jar (32 oz) with only micro in it. I don’t want to add more water for fear of overwatering, so I’m waiting for the soil to dry out.

I’ve not been able to finesse autos, so I’m not surprised. She started strong, then pffft…

Any hope for this one?

You can safely water if you think it needs to be done. Over watering is about frequency not volume. Watering a couple days in a row won’t hurt anything so long as you don’t make a habit of it. I will say that I do water every day when they get to flowering.

Thanks, @merlin44 ! I’ll give the rest of the nutrients (cal mag and grow) tonight and hope that does the trick.

Kinda small to have started flowering.

@DRsDank Yeah…not loving that.

Temp and water keep it simple, not too much water and temp just right, that has been my experience. That looks like cold temp or over water but I dont know your environment
