That Midnight Snack looks amazing! Mind if I ask how long/at what temp you smoked that chuck roast? It looks amazing too!

Hey buddy, I smoked it at 250° after thawing in water, used EVOO for a binder and used the rubs. Put into smoker, 3-4 hours until it hit 165° internal temp. Wrapped tightly with foil in that butter, garlic, etc. 1-1.5 hours later it hit 206° pulled for a one hour rest. Should be brisket like.

Awesome! and Thanks. I have been trying to convince myself to buy or build some kind of offset smoker, looking at your pictures makes me want to take the plunge!

Offset is so much better in terms of smoking/results it’s just a lot more work to regulate temps. But if you can take the time to learn it an commit I 100% recommend using an offset. Up front costs are lower but you are baby sitting. If I didn’t have kids I would of went that route instead of a pellet smoker. Don’t get me wrong, I love it, it’s just a trade off.

Buds and meats look incredible. Congrats on the great harvest numbers! I have a mechanical trimmer too and it is much faster. I can trim about an ounce at a time now. I like how yours has a dry trim grate with smaller holes so you dont lose as much. Looks like a step or two up from the infinity style bowl trimmer. Nice choice.
Can’t go wrong with pepper, garlic, and butter on beef. Where do you get your rubs? Order online or at a store?
Chuck roast can come out like brisket? Sounds like a good, more economical option.

Good Morning Cultivators,

Will be checking to see if Blueberry is ready for trim here shortly.

@Stickyicky407
I get rubs from the grocery store, Walmart, Lowe’s, Home Depot. Any place like that. Sometimes farmers markets, fairs, carnivals.

It turned out pretty good. Could have let it cook to 208°-210° not all the fat rendered. It’s a good option when you want a brisket ish experience but don’t want or have a need for a lot of cooked meat.

Good morning. Was reading about automating your lights. Was a biomed, hospital beds have small motors that would do the trick with the right pulley attatched. They have a backup system for when beds are mobile, 12vdc battery. Also consider studying some gararage door openers. They can be modified by cable adjustments do the trick.

Just spit balling ideas for ya.

Hey @Bunger64 im trimming now! Appreciate coming through.

@Mosca i appreciate any ideas that come along! Thank you :sunglasses::call_me_hand:t3:

This Blueberry is going to take some time… have to hand trim a lot of it. I will say it’s got a very sour berry candy smell. Kind of overwhelming.

I never believed in cannabis leading to harder drugs, but you sir have brought out the way we camped as a family in the 60 and 70s, open fire, river coffee, and grillin.

Your pics of outdoor fires has led us to a rather expensive meat fest almost every weekend. Babybacks is a given, 8 burgers, 8 thighs and chicken breast, ribeye, or something bacon wrapped and garden veggies, asparagus, no corn yet, squash beets,
We have left overs for the week, no excessive heat added to our hot days.
Thanks for sharing, my wife said thanks, no mess in the house either.

During this grow I experienced light burn, stem rot, freezing dehumidifiers, extreme temps, poly branches on 2 plants. Burning leaves salt build up mostly on the sensitive and strange Blueberry. I pushed the limits of ppfd for my environment. I learned that at 700 ppm on the frequent fertigation system that fed 5 times a day will act like a partial flush and cause the plants to fade. The watering system watered 5 times a day and needed adjustments 2-3 times a week. There were a lot of situations where they were flooding or dry. Definitely will need a table or a waste management system next time.

This Concludes the run… :call_me_hand:t3:

Thank you to everyone who followed along!

@Mosca
I appreciate the kind words, and though food gets expensive… it still falls under the simple things in life. Which I feel privileged to be able to take advantage of, and I do every chance I get. Lots of perks to cooking outdoors, like the heat you mentioned and the mess! I appreciate you following along with my grow. :pray:

Thank you! :sunglasses::call_me_hand:t3:

Thanks buddy!

Happy I don’t have to deal with it anymore! Lol. One of the weirdest plants I’ve had.
