I tried Jacks but they are missing a lot. I know here a lot of people have to add a PK booster because Jack’s while simple is lacking some things.
Well that is something people do. It is not needed.

They look like good nutes to me. But in volume you get more jacks for less money. No need for the calmag as well. I would love to see a grow off between the two.[/quote]
Im waiting to get a new hip at the moment so alot of my stuff has been put on hold. Once I can get back into action we can make this happen for sure. You got me wondering now.
Heck ya…just bc something cost more or is different does not mean its better until a fair test is involved. Im not afraid to spend more money. But i am afraid to waste any money!
@Poseidon1
Agreed 100%
I heard that. I went from Jacks to Lotus because I couldn’t kick deficiencies with Jacks. I know a lot of people especially on the forum love it but I couldn’t get it to work for me
I’ve not tried Jacks or Lotus. But the Lotus order i made came in today.
I’ve used Canna brand of nutrient with good success, but damn they are expensive. I switched to GH trio for my current grow. It’s cheap and my plants are loving it. My issue is the amount of salt in the product. For a full hydro there’s a lot of bubbles and splashing and everything is coated in salt spray.
So, tomorrow I’m doing a full reservoir change and I’m switching to Lotus. Yes, it’s mid grow but I’m past the stretch and into flower. So, we will see how it works out.
I’ll keep y’all updated.
I will say this about the GH product. I’m using the feed chart recommends on the bottle and my plants are insanely healthy. They are dense and growing really fast. Also, they have not shown any sign of nutrient burn. The tips of the leaves are a green as everything else.
Fingers crossed that Lotus is all it’s said to be.
Fingers crossed for ya. Lotus has been catching on as of late and I’ve noticed so many people using it now so I’m hoping it does treat you as well as it has me
@Thads2day was asking about lotus nutes
Glad I was tagged in your post. I’ve been thinking of trying Lotus nutrient line myself. I’m going to pull the trigger and order the three pack today. Does anyone know if the Lotus nutes can be mixed with GH Armor Si or GH CalMag. Only ask because I have some bottles that I have already purchased and would like to use them if I can? The grow photos look great that were posted above. Well done.
I’m not sure about them specifically but I mix them with Advanced Nutrients Bud Candy and Botanicare CalMag plus and have never had issues. Hope that helps and thanks,I absolutely love the nutrient line.
I’m using FF Coco Loco so I’m not sure when it comes time to feed if I should start with a lower amount than suggested? The FF Coco Loco has enough nutes in it for about 4 weeks , maybe a little less. Did you cut back on your amounts on your first feedings?
I decided i don’t like the Lotus nutrients. There’s really only 2 reasons. First, they would not completely dissolve. I tried and tried and tried, but nope.
Second, my ph would not stay stable. Not sure what’s up with that. I would get it to 6.0 and then an hour later it was 1/2 a point.
So, I’m just going to stay with my GH trio for now.
Maybe I’ll try it again in the future.
This is just my opinion on my use. Overall, i think they are good nutrients. I just didn’t have a good experience.
To me cal/mag is cal/mag so I would mix them. I’ve been mixing bud candy with my GH bloom feed mix with no issues.
@Thads2day
If I was you Id send them a message and see what they say.
If not regretted at all buying it.
I also use Strive Nutrients. Their from Canada.
Very simple 2 parts.
How do you measure nutes with the lotus stuff? Teaspoons or weight? I won’t even consider Jacks because they want you to weigh stuff in grams. My scale is only for weed so if the lotus is a weigh system I’m going to have to pass. Looks like it works great though.
@Bluntsmoke
Checkout the feed chart i posted earlier in this post.
Its measured in TSP.
Serious bummer as Scotts is owned by Monsanto.
Their charts have both spoons and grams so I will use the Teaspoon/Tablespoon for mixing.
They come with a spoon in each container. It has a tablespoon side and teaspoon side. Everything is pretty much .5 tsp, 1tsp or 1.5 tsp per gallon so it’s easy.
