Well ladies and gentlemen, The grow is nearing the end. As we enter week 8 and week 9 of flowering I have noticed that everything for the exception of the Big Girl has reached 100% cloudy with 5% Amber in this morning’s trichome check I’ve also noticed that we have absolutely 0% foxtails
You heard me correctly, no foxtailing :+1:

This means The chopping block could open in the next 10 days. I hope everyone enjoys the rest of their holiday. Have fun, be safe and most important enjoy your family! Bless you all :victory_hand:

Good morning grow :potted_plant: family. Happy Friday. I hope you all enjoyed your holiday and will continue to have fun throughout the rest of 2025 :fireworks:

This will be the Last look at the girls close up individually for this journal as we’ve approaching the end. The journal should run for another 30 days as we have a big girl who’s going to take a lot more time then your average Autoflower would.

First up:

Purple lemonade
End of week 7 of Flower
Trichomes currently 20% clear 20% cloudy
Has approximately 2 weeks left

This plant is giving me nothing but love for the hard work that I’ve put in her. Her buds smell like blueberry pie and are dense as bricks. They’re fat as soda cans and should be extremely pungent.

GSCE
End of week 7 of Flower
Trichomes currently irrelevant
Has approximately 4-5 weeks left

What can I say, she’s a huge Autoflower. 4 ft tall lots of colas stacked wonderfully and we’re simply waiting for her to start fattening. For process should take an additional month due to her size giving her approximately 13 weeks in flower to fully achieve perfection. Got to love it

Afghanistan
End of week 8 of Flower
Trichomes currently cloudy w/ 8% Amber
Has approximately 1 week left

What can I say she’s just an all-around fat butted Frosty average Autoflower. I look forward to smoking this girl.

Gorilla cookie (midget)
End of week 8 of Flower
Trichomes currently cloudy w/ 8% Amber
Has approximately 1 week left

For a midget she’ll do 2 oz of weed dry when it’s over. Very impressive. She’ll be double the potency of a normal Auto flower her buds are enormous and Frosty as frosted flakes cereal. What a wonderful treat

THAI WEED (midget)
End of week 8 of Flower
Trichomes currently cloudy w/ 8% Amber
Has approximately 1 week left

With not even coming in at 12 in tall she will do a solid 2 oz of weed guaranteed dry. She’s a natural 34% THC strain that will probably add 50% more due to the fact that she’s a midget (only someone who’s grew a midget would know) the weed is 50% better and stronger. She’s fat she’s Frosty and she’s all mine  (however I would share with any of you guys as you’re all my homies)

Look at her she’s just one big fat gigantic Frosty bud :winking_face_with_tongue:

Have a good weekend y’all

I’m glad you enjoyed yourself. It was an incredibly quick grow or should I say time surely flew. Weed growing is a passion of mine. I learned something every day. And the people here are family.:victory_hand:

Reading your journal helped in trying to make the time fly! I started my run around the same time as you and chopping is about to start here too, maybe next week. A new grow is already being prepared…

Good morning ladies and gentlemen. Happy Monday. I hope everyone enjoyed their nice long holiday as I sure did.

Welcome to week 8 & 9 of flower the 4 girls that are in week 9 are getting there watering with no nutrients, no additives and, a trichome check this morning. (I’ll post any significant changes if applicable. )

If you read this entire journal you’ll know this grow was for a simple confirmation test of two aspects. Terpene Loss & Foxtailing both of my calculations were correct.

Past problems
In many of my past Autoflower grows (almost all of them) I’ve had two negative aspects resulting and foxtailing and terpene loss. Let’s start with…

Terpene Loss
I’ve always wanted my weed to smell like an afro-americans car. (No offense to anyone). Although I’ve grown some of the finest weed you’ll ever smoke I could never get that bag smell. I tried everything. Sitting back 6 months ago thinking when I could have possibly done wrong it hit me. Reviewing all of my gross statistics and notes I’ve noticed that my temperatures have all been on the high side of 80’s and even up into the 90’s in the tent. I assume this was my problem. For this particular grow I’ve controlled the environment never to go over 75° Fahrenheit. I did hit 79 during the first 3 weeks of vegetation. However, my tent has never seen 80° with that said, not only do my buds smell like a black guy’s car my entire Street does. This grow is so fragrant you need a mask to breathe properly in that tent. In conclusion I have to recommend not going over 75° to preserve terpene positive production.

Foxtailing Problem
Growing many many autoflowers in my day I find the biggest issue is foxtailing. It seems to be inevitable. Once started, they will not stop. You can slow down their production and growth by adjusting distance and percentage of the lighting. (but they will continue). I knew lighting was going to be the issue. The test that I did rather than cranking my light to 100% as soon as flowering starts and running it at 100% all the way through week 7 I decided to only run 100% during week 1 and 2 a flower only and then 75% therefore afterwards. I’m not surprised to report that I do not have a single foxtail on any of my plants. Strangely enough I’ve also noticed that 100% lighting reduction to 75% did not effect the bud production, fattening, and or ripening of my buds whatsoever. In conclusion, I will now continue to adapt to my new lighting schedule in any future grows to eliminate foxtailing.
