Maybe your soil is staying to wet to long , might not be moving enough air for your grow space to help dry your soil fast enough , but it’s a few different methods to kill them and everyone has they own technique to doing so but honestly I had them in my very first indoor grows and and old school guy told me a method and it work for me and never had them since , but you can put a light layer of river sand , @garrigan62 used potatoe slices , sticky pads , there are a gnat mix , you can get a high speed oscalating fan @latewood suggestion that helps , and a few other options , but the main thing is the larvae is already in most organic bought soil as micro organism so they in there but it’s a time frame for the larvae to hatch is why you try to get your soil to dry faster to kind of controlling them by moving more air is one way , are extend your watering by a day or so , are instead of watering a full gallon from the top of the plants , pour a fourth of water in the drain pan and let the plant absorb it on its own so you don’t over water the soil , but it’s a few options on what you can do to either kill the larvae are control the birth of them from soil being to wet to long .

I’m glad you killed that thing! It looked like the flowers were about ready to open.
