Looking to switch up my tent setup, but have a question

Hey guys and gals, I was wondering if you could help me out with a quick question.
I’m looking to get another in-line fan as an intake, but am wondering if it would really make a huge difference or not.
Currently I have a 2’x4’x7’ gorilla tent, ac infinity t6 fan venting outside, hlg 260r, and use the passive vent hole in the tent.
I don’t have a problem with my humidity, but my temps usually creep up and are harder to control.
Would it help if I got another in-line fan and had it pumping air into the tent? Is it worth the extra cost for the fan, duct and filter?
Thanks for the help folks.

Your best method for cooling the tent, is cooling the room you have it setup in.

Ya what @Underthestairs said and having an intake fan is good and you dont need a filter for the intake so you could use an ac infinity raxial inline fan and its good to have slightly more air going in than out creating a slight pressure inside the tent

The tent is in a small storage closet. The t6 I have is vented to the outside through the ceiling.
The room stays pretty cool on its own, usually 72 tops. As of writing this, it’s 64 in the room while the tent is 81.
@Underthestairs i was just thinking the passive vent in the back of the tent wasn’t really keeping up. Hoping adding the intake would help with airflow and temp issues.
I usually keep the t6 fan always running on the lowest speed and it ramps up as needed.
I was going to set the intake up to run for a couple minutes every 30ish or so minutes and then fine tune it from there.
Does this sound like a logical idea or am I just wasting money?
@Medicineman33 I was only thinking of adding another filter for smell. Even though I have the t6 with a filter venting out, my room and adjacent room still get stinky now and then. Was thinking by scrubbing the air going in it would help with it going out. Maybe not? I’ll look into that fan though for sure! I was thinking of a s4 or whatever letters they are using now, but a 4” intake.

Make sure you are venting all the air and not just the top few inches
Confirm the cooler air is entering the BOTTOM of the tent

That’s how I have it setup now. Want to add a fan in place of the passive air intake. Force more of the air into the tent.

I don’t know that you’ll get much benefit. Even you have positive pressure you can’t run it through a carbon filter if that’s ever a desire. I keep my tent under negative

A filter on the intake really wont make a difference and id run the intake all the time with the exhaust

I have that tent for veg and use a 4” inline fan in the lower port to bring in air from my lung room. I use 6” on my larger tents :love_you_gesture:
