Hello everyone,
Any recommendations on how to maintain living solid when no plants are growing? I’d like to leave a 30 gal of soil in my small grow room as I dry my buds. Any issues with leaving the soil covered for a few weeks?
Hello everyone,

@ChittyChittyBangin @Caligurl @HippieRunner1 would be my go to for this
No issues at all. I have a 25 gal pot i throw all my used soil in. Store away brother. Every week or so, just give it a little water and dont let it dry completely out.
A little molasses here and there. A little. Keep the soil fed. I store in a big bin.
@Storm speaking of molasses… what are your thoughts on adding dry molasses to a soil mix ?
If I am not mistaken the Earth Dust had it in it.
I keep my old soil, after the second grow I toss it in the bin. You can get some azomite and toss in there, add a little compost to it an also toss some fruit scraps in there while it resets. Boom 6 months later new soil! Growing organic is tge bomb.
I like to use a cover crop between cycles. Let it grow little then chop and drop. Puts nitrogen and such back in the soil. Good for the worms and beneficials. I like to put like an inch of worm castings on top and cover with mushroom straw or rice hulls sometimes too. Or you can just cut some good clean cardboard for the top. Like @ChittyChittyBangin mentioned, don’t let it dry out completely. I’ve had it go the other way too and let it get too wet creating of fly/gnat problem. Then it’s milled mustard seed to bio-fumigate the unwanted.
Dang Chitty. You really using a torpedo in there? Room must be huge Dude.
thats the main part outside of the rooms lol…
@ChittyChittyBangin
Geez you got a big room…geez you got a big room.
Why did you say it twice?
