How close should my light be to my seedlings? I have a 400 watt mh light. I have it on 50% power
Folks on here told me 24 inches. I’m using a Mars 900 LED. I started at less than 6 inches and fried my seedling. After following the advice from the wonderful folks here I went to 24 inches and all was well.
Do you have them in a humidity dome?

I do and thanks I was thinking I had the light way to high and one is stretching way too much
I should include that after frying my seedling I went to 48 inches and this happened.
She stretched right out of the rooter! I sliced the rooter open and put her back inside then lowered the light to 24 inches.

your seedling never got solid roots. it pushed itself out of the media.
replanting n burying the root will give it a good start.

First seedling going, not sure what it is, after reading in the forums I realized its stretching for light, I lowered the light this evening, using 4 T5 bulbs, how soon should I put a small fan in place?! This is 6 days from germination.

Yep slam that light down. You can also add some soil to the top of the cup to help support/bury it more.

Lower with the light? And thank you for your help and quick response! I’m waiting on Gorilla Glue seeds from ILGM, this is out of some flower from dispensary, I hope it’s a girl!

Hey @Dman1969 I’m not to sure as I have only used the QB’s for lighting. Maybe @PharmerBob can answer that or @Missiles I’m sure would know who.
