Light leak = seed weed

Appreciate it my friend

Ah no I dont think so? Common stress-related things would be massive temp swings, interrupted lighting for too long, feed issues, large ph swings, combinations of any of those things in conjunction with a rogue gene and you have an increased risk.
I also firmly believe that recently modified plants ie new crosses, that have not been fully stabilized are super prone to hermie. Thats why I believe that I have so few issues, none actually, with heritage / landrace. The seed is genetically stable.

Ha ha I found my problem!!! My timer got bumped some how, lights on 8am off 8pm but at 230am I woke up and my lights were on for at least 15 mins… right in the middle of dark time, fixed it but it feels good to know WHY… @dbrn32 @kellydans @Zee @Covertgrower

That’s great it’s always good to figure out why something happened.

Get a digital timer… I had that issue with the older mechanical peg style ones, dog tail hit it etc. The digital timers are pretty solid.

Hey man I got a question, I milked every small bud for seeds and a few top buds have one here an there, most old growth not effected. But I got 200 dark mature looking seeds, and I understand they may be prone to hermi but my daughter want to plant some in her yard. Do seeds need to rest for a period at like room temperature before you plant them or Not sure how to prep them before maybe cold storage like all my other seeds? Any help would be appreciated

nope if they are mature they are good to go, you might want to refrigerate em for a while? But yeah they should pop! Heck try one! Chuck it in a shot glass in water tgat has no chlorine in it. If it pops, you are good to dope!

If your going to plant them outside just be diligent and keep an eye out they don’t Herm. Pollen can travel 1/4 mile or more and can ruin another out door growers crop :v:

Yeah I got they may be prone to hermi since mom did, will teach my daughter what to watch for, thanks don’t want to harm others with pollen. Gosh I hope i don’t have to go through that again. Already now on digital timer, and sealed leaks. Ultra cleaned grow space. Thanks @Watt-Sun
