I’ve never grown indoors and was looking to piece together a tent. I looked at AC Infinity equipment and ended up buying the whole kit and picked up an ACI T3 humidifier and a GE 22 pint dehumidifier for the lung room. Couldn’t be happier and it runs on auto pilot.
Ok so I was thinking I might get a few days into grow to assess my RH and make the call on equipment needs. Hopping no one laughs at that thought….
I’m telling y’all, I’m climbing on this ride! Puddlehead is locked and loaded!
If you haven’t picked up your controler yet get the 69pro. I dont think it’s much more$ and has more ports. I have the 69+ and like it and you can get the splitters (dongles) from them and achieve the same thing as the pro. They both work great and make things very simple once you figure it out lol. Took me awhile but I’m old.
I have the pro…and I have no idea what to do with the other 4…but Dang it! I’m ready!!
Lol. I was thinking of adding some corner bar lights and another fan but I’m out. I’ll have to get dongles. I’ll trade ya…
That would be the natural thing…Hell, I have a smart outlet, I can hook up my old stereo and…Oh, crap! all my needles are fried!!!
Needles are not cheap any more, if you can find what ya need.
Haven’t had a turntable for 50 years.
Ah I still spin albums, nothing like that sound.
Ok so been doing some research, and I am a little less comfortable with the auto pot idea…
Half kicking the drip feed idea back into play. Previously I did a rough estimate on how much water to feed every other day to fully saturate the pro mix in the 5 gallon air pot with minimal/no run off. Took a lot to test this out, and I can’t find the journal, think it got tossed.
I think the pump ran every second day for something like 7 mins with two lines per pot to create an even water coverage. Had them put together upside down so the top 2 inches worked as a bowl so I didn’t get run off the top.
This was a lot to work out and the pump is dead, so would half to start from scratch. Gonna noodle on that, might jump to a hydro option.
Try not to laugh or throw stones if the above sounds crazy, didn’t want to have a flood accidental while I was away so tried to set up full saturation watering, with an average dry out to avoid mold or rot. Work pretty ok, but a bugger to work out exact times and amounts with out starving or drowning things in between.![]()
Might adjust, appreciate the insight!
RJ12 is correct.
RJ11 can be wired also.
Thread for more reading, Forum search RJ12
HLG sent my light with the dial potentiometer, connected externally to the dual RJ12 connector. Dial can be removed for Cloudline Controller 67/69.
Driver model determines interconnection needed for HLG lighting and AC-I compatibility.
HLG support was great, just not on weekends.
TYPE A dongle is different.
Me too.
My excuse s My fingers work faster than the software, hard to believe, but true.
Fingering buttons and changing screens, too fast, results in equipment being set wrong. Best of all, I sleep knowing the Cloudline Controller has tents under control.
If you haven’t yet, check out my first indoor grow. I’m at 6 weeks in a couple of days and the Jacks 321 and coco are just blowing my mind.
The tent set up is evolving as I learn more and get it dialed in to be as easy as possible. Currently I need to clean out another barrel in order to up the size of my reservoir, allowing me to be away from home for more than 3 days.
My biggest hurdle has been determining what knowledge from outdoor growing applies to indoor growing and what doesn’t. I also have tried to set it up for multiple uses. I made it easy to switch out for growing stuff besides the girls.
I went with the controller 69 Pro + (8 ports) I use the controller to automate my feed pumps and “stir” pump to keep my nutes aerated. I thought I may need it to control the dehumidifier and window A/C but as it turns out they run continuously. (Deep south)
Soooo… Do the math. Splitters can be used to control multiple devices from a single port. However, they all will function with the same settings. For me, by the time I bought a few splitters, I was able to buy the 8 port for about the same money and have individual control of the devices.
Something to keep in mind also is, as the plants grow, they will use water faster. In 6 weeks I’ve gone from 3/4s of a gallon per plant every two days, to 1 gal per plant per day.
Whether you use soil or coco you’ll need run off. How will you get rid of it? I use a small pump with a float switch, and pump it to drain, or, I can put the hose in a bucket and use it on our veggies and other things around the farm. Soil, even in a bag, may have fungus knats and other pest. A lot of folks sterilize the soil in the oven, but that destroys some benefits of the soil which then need to be added back.
If I wasn’t trying to have a “transformer” grow system, I would go DWC or RDWC. We did DWC with the wifes lettuce and learned we could wait 3 weeks without a water change. (Lettuce isn’t a big feeder.) Depending how the next grow or two goes, I may switch to DWC anyway.
LMAO… is your head exploding yet.
That all sounds like too much work for me, I set it and forget it. Feed them when they dry out and thats about it. I PH’ed my water on once on my first grow and haven’t done it since. Make sure the numbers stay right on the controller and I adjust ppfd as the girls mature. Don’t know anything about ppm or EC, I’ve had a green thumb from childhood. Just seems to work.
Alright so quick updates here.
I picked up the AC controller pro, t 6 cloud fan, and recirculation fan. Will set them up tomorrow.
I picked up an Alfred 4 bucket oversized unit - it was a door bin sale item. Comes as a kit with the clay pellets.
Could use some insight on a few parts, this will be my first DWC.
Once the seeds pop, do I start them in rock wool plugs or some other medium?
If yes to the rock wool, how do I get them to the right phase, previously I used solo cups, soil and a sprout dome with a small t 5 light.
Getting closer!
Mini fridge to kick back a cold one while tinkering?
Figured out what to do with two slots, strip lights to fill edges of tents.
The other two slots can be for the Jacuzzi and minifridge.
