Left a little UVB bulb on for 22 hours

Can anyone give me some much needed advice? I’m freaking out. I am a week into flower and I left a little UVB bulb on during my dark cycle. It’s not plugged into my timer, because I don’t keep it on as long as my grown lights. My lights are due to come back on in 2 hours. They won’t get 12 hours of darkness. My light schedule is 8am-8pm. It’s 6 am as i’m writing this. Should I leave the lights off for 24 hours until they are supposed to come back on tomorrow? Or should I give them 12 hours and turn the lights on at 6 pm? I really don’t want my lights on at night. Will 24 hours of dark stress out my plant even more now?

No need to freak out. One day of it isn’t going to make any difference. It takes several days in a row of it for it to matter. Just continue on as normal and the plant(s) will be fine.

So I should let my light come back on as normal? They would only have 2 hours of darkness then

Don’t over-think it. Continue on with your normal schedule.

Thanks I really appreciate you responding. I turned the bulb off as soon as I remembered that I didn’t turn it off. I probably should of just left it on. Everything has been going perfect until this. I’m only a week into flowering today, so i’m really hoping it won’t have much effect.

You can absolutely give them more darkness to set your timer to whatever “time frame” you want.
You don’t have to, it should be fine, but if you want to get it back to whatever schedule you like, it would not hurt :+1:
I’ve done this a few times trying to balance light off during the hot hours of the day or maybe a timmer broke or electric had been off…

Idk about the uv bulb being on however
I would say just the one time probably isn’t an issue and long as it doesn’t continue, it should be just fine…

I’d prefer my light schedule to be what it currently is, so I’m just gonna let my lights come back on in about 10 minutes and continue as normal. They’ll only have 2 hours of darkness, but I feel like only a week into flower is still kinda like being in veg.

I agree, your plants should be fine. I would consider getting second timer for uv light moving forward.

UVB can be really hard on plants and I would be more concerned about cooking the tops of your plants.

It is usually suggested to use USB in the last three weeks of flower and for no more than 3-4 hours per day.

What USB fixture are you using?

Yeah I only keep it on for like 3 hours. I’ve read numerous articles saying it’s beneficial. The sun has UVB rays. I just use a little reptile UVB bulb.

Thanks. I’m already on it haha.

Not gonna lie though, I don’t think i’m gonna continue to use it. I’m not sure how high above my plant it should be, and I agree with you about cooking the top of my plants. I don’t put my lights any closer than 25 inches from the top of my plants. If I do, my leaves droop and look weak, once I raise my lights, they pray again. I don’t understand how these light companies say keep them 12-18 inches away.
