LED Question! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Hi All,

Im looking to setup a mars hydro sp250 in a 2โ€™x4โ€™x6โ€™ tent. I read that it lacks in the red end of the spectrum for optimum flowering results. My question is will the addition of a couple of 54W 660nm/630nm E27 LEDs make up that gap in the spectrum?

Thanks! :call_me_hand:

Lets get the man here @dbrn32 heโ€™s all yours :joy::joy:.

Man who else was lighting guru level dude? I been poking u all dayโ€ฆ

I would probably just run a grow or two with it and see how results are. Itโ€™s not lacking red light as much as it has a ton of blue.

Have you purchased the mars light yet?

In that case, have you looked at any other fixtures?

Im quite limited to my choices as im avoiding international shipping. I was looking at 2x viparspectra PARs or maybe even reflector series, the sp250 or cheaper ebay type LEDs. I read both the Viparspectra and Mars have higher blue levels than reds etc. :man_shrugging:t2: Any recommendations for a 2x4x6?

Trust me, @dbrn32 is da man! You have just saved a bunch of cash and you will double your dope output, all things being proper of course!

They have the QB 2 240w for preorderโ€ฆ how does this stack up compared to the 260w you mentioned. Thanks for all the help guys!

No idea, just knew they were authorized hlg dealer.

For what itโ€™s worth, because you mentioned Viparspectra, I run (4) Viparspecta 600โ€™s (in a 5โ€™ x 5โ€™ tent) with really good success, and never a light failure. Going on three years with them now and theyโ€™re still running strong. I would recommend them to anyone. Iโ€™m not saying they are the best or anything, but Iโ€™ve had good luck.
