Just want to know what the leaves twisting is about ? This is week 2 from sprouting through the dirt one is twisting the other is not ,
Banana kush feminized
7 gallon pots
Soil is fox farm ocean forest , with about 6” of cultivation nation 70/30 at the bottom
The light is at 300 μmol/m²/s
Temp 75-80 humidity 60-75 except like in the pic when i open door to room it drops not sure what other info is needed if any let me know i appreciate any feedback
From looking at the pics me personally I wouldn’t worry about the leaves. What I would worry about is watering the outside of the plant not the inside! You want to encourage root growth. Also avoid getting water on the plant itself. Other then that to me it looks fine.
Thank you , i try and water about 1-2” away but it soaks up closer im unsure of how far and ill talk myself out of everything , sometimes i read to mist the plant some say dont so really im just always trying to figure out whats right and whats not
Make sure you keep humidity up in the mid to high 70s. Don’t let the leaves, this can cause problems like burning.
A plant that small in such a large container should need water for a couple weeks.
How much water each time and how often would you do in this size pot? And also if you dont mind me picking your brain im having a hard time understanding how often to give nutrients. like if i mix a gallon up but my 2 plants only need say a liter each of that mixed water do i save the rest of that batch then regualar water a couple times then feed again in few days ? Or once a week ? I simply just dont understand
Someone said test the run off which im assuming is the water that comes out of the bottom of the pot but i have yet to water so much that i get a bunch of runoff in these size pots i usually just water once a day when i wake up but sunday is the start of week 3
Sorry for the long shit grammar paragraph i hope it’s understandable and appreciate any help
If you are using synthetic nutrients you will need to water to run off eventually.
Yes checking runoff ppm is the correct way to know when to give nutrients however, the last thing you will want is a overwatered situation.
The roots need oxygen.
What type of soil are you in? Most cannabis friendly soils will come charged with nutrients and won’t need anything added for many weeks. Depending on the experience of the grower that could be 2 weeks or as much as months…
What is your water source? Have you checked ph? Are you phing water before you use it?
Do you have RO water or dehumidifier water?
When the plant gets to the size it dries the pot and it feels light when you pick it up in a 2 or 3 day time frame you will generally feed/water/feed/water.
You will then water heavily and soak the entire pot and get runoff water to test ph and ppm, your runoff ppm will tell you if you need to feed more or water more.(you don’t want an accumulation of nutrients and burning the plants)
I have 7 gallon pot the bottom 1/3 is cultivation nation 70/30 and the top 2/3 is fox farm ocean forest i also have fox farm trio with Bio”something” cal mag cant remember the name but then i also have jacks321 and some advamced nutrition stuff like carbo load and big bud for down the line just havent fully decided which to use …… i also only use bottled water i get 5gallon jugs delivered i use for my humidifier and watering
Okay so the top 2/3 is soil and the bottom 1/3 is coco, two completely different animals.
Those are all good nutrient brands and I have nothing bad to say about any of those but I will say if you use jacks you will get a lot more help around here because that’s mostly what everyone uses and they are familiar with it.
I would stop watering for several days and get a ph and ppm pen in the mail, you will need that. Aphera makes a good quality and affordable one.
Make sure everytime you water it goes in at a ph of 6.5.
Just a bit of advice. When watering this early in the grow, water in a circle around the plant and not directly under it… you want your roots searching for water… a good foundation makes for a healthier and happier plant happy growing
I use the ff trio w/the calmag. If you need any assistance hit me up. The jacks seems to be the most common nutes I see on here. I wouldnt worry about twisted leaves too much. They usually grow out of it. Unless the curl up like a taco from too much light.
