Tips of leaves turning brown in Pre-Flowering grown in organic soil should I worry or is this normal 20 days since I flipped
Beautiful plants man. From what ive been told tips is fine. Shows the plants is using up the nutes… monitor the ppm of run off and ur ph… keep it at around1000ppm
They are beautifully painted nails on your girls, just like @Mmanson1981 said that is showing she is taking the nutrients and using them, an keep checking run off and adjust accordingly. Are you using any nutrients currently? If so what one’s and how much.
Hey haha look at me i guessed right?!?!?! Lol
Yeah just gotta keep an eye that the Browning doesn’t start moving down the leaves an curling them
Solid uptake. You ammended right on the edge of hot. That is exactly where I like mine. Organic living soil here also.
Using no nutrients only spring water from seed Using organic soil thanks for the feedback
Time to water to runnoff and see ifbyou need to start feeding… check ppm and try to keep it around 1k
Not in our living soils. We ammend at intervals and just water. Slower initial uptake but once nutes are broken down by the life the plants thrive. Timing is kinda important. Ammend 2 weeks before flip. Ammend every 3-4 weeks in both stages typically. Just a clarification.
This is why we “cook” our soils before planting.
Oh crap sorry… didnt mean to give bad advice
@Storm what do you mean by amend I’m new to this
Awesome. @Storm thanks for tagging in. @Edwards storm is a guru I would take any advice offered. I was just going off of what I experienced and what storm told me.
If I was to guess I would say mix early veg nutrients into the soil B4 planting beans.
An organic soil will deplete itself of nutrients. We top dress a dry ammend to replace what is taken every 3-4 weeks. 2 weeks before flip an ammend of bloom nutes is done then scheduled at 3-4 week intervals till 1-2 weeks from harvest. As long as the soil life is strong the ph range increases to 5-8.5 or so. The life adjusts it for the plant. I reuse my soils and it just gets better with love. I use a product from @Roadsideorganics.ok . Veg and bloom. Super simple.
Okay understanding now so i have another batch of organic soil so you’re saying I should put some of the new soil on top of what’s in the pot already or should I wait since the tips are browning on one plant @Storm
Hes saying you dry amened with nutes. So for example gaia green is an organic nute system… 2 weeks b4 flower yoy would "top dress " which is putting the recomend ammounts of the nute on top of ur soil and work it in by hand then top water… then you top dress every 3 to 4 weeks… most would stop at about week 5 of flower for the flush
Could i get similar results if i just put fresh Supersoil on top of the old soil @Mmanson1981
Since it’s a supersoil is it necessary to flush n if so how do you flush in Supersoil haven’t used any other nutrients but what the soil was made from
I never used living soil that is an @Storm question. But i believe its just getting depleted so need to get something back into it
Wont have enough nutes. Really need an ammendment. Cheap. What I suggested is about 20.00 plus shipping. Enough for 5 or so 5 gallon pots start to finish.
That happens and doesnt ever go away. Even when nutes are depleted. She is in flower and will need bloom nutes.
