Leaves are tacoing

Besides the :taco: ing you plant looks pretty nice!

There’s some technical charts about relative humidity and temp combos that maximize the plants energy intake, but generallly 78 degree daytime 68 degrees nights time. The humidity at an early stage should be around 70% and reduce through the lifecycle of the plant. Mid to late flowering needs humidity below 50%, ideally 40%, to avoid bud rot.

Nice plants. Maybe some early nute burn there. How is the :taco: ing? The leaves look good.

Are you actively managing and monitoring the pH and ppms of the water or nutrient solution you are adding? When you water them, do you measure the pH and ppms of the runoff that comes out the bottom?

Man all this is new to me. This is my second grow. I don’t have a clue abt the ph and how to do it. I seen a couple of spots and the tips of the leaves are a little yellow. I’m worried that I’m over feeding. I’m following the directions on the feed. It’s fox farm grow big. It’s weird some leaves are a litte tacoed some look good.

Ph measurements are very important

What do I do to measure it?

You will need to get a ph testor and test water after u mix nutrients. You will need some ph up and some ph dwn also.
You can get a cheap ph tester drops but a digital ph meter is more accurate. I used drops for years and just recently got a digital tester and like it alot.

Where can I get one preferably cheap?

Im lucky because i am very close to 2 growing stores. U can order online or check big stores like home depot, lowes, canadian tire etc in their garden section they usially have some sort of ph tester to get u thru till u find a better one. But ph is a must, very important for nutrient absorbtion. Also pet stores, they always have the ph tester strips for fish tanks.

Check out this Idea List on Amazon: MassCanGrow - basic growing supplies by MassCanGrow Amazon.com - Idea Lists

On this list are a bunch of go to items for me. One of them is a dual ph and tds/ppm meter for $22. If you have those and are watering at 6.5 ph and getting 6.3 to 6.8 out of the after coming out the bottom, you will be on the path. We can talk about ppms later, since you are using ocean forest and not nuting, yet. Most important thing is pH.

Thanks y’all are awesome I was thinking my plants were burning up. I’ll get the tester today. :call_me_hand: so I don’t need to flush?

I dont think i would flush just yet, get a tester and see what your ph run off is 1st and at very least cut back on nutes abit untill you get things tested.

Thanks again

If and when you do flush, it needs to be PHd to 6.5 otherwise you won’t be helping the situation. Your plants are big enough that they can really eat well if the pH is in range.

So my plants look good for four weeks?

Yes 6.5 is the sweet spot.

If ur run off ph is low, u water with abit higher ph. For example if u water at 6.5, run off is say 5.5, next water ph to say 7 and water with that and it should start bringing run off reading back up and vice versa if ur run off ph is high.
Hope this makes sense lol

Dude, you plants look awesome for four weeks. To me it looks like you have minor nite burn, but not severe. If you ensure the pH and ppms are in order it’s going to be a great experience.
