Slide some 4’ bamboo sticks down between the soil & bucket. The more the better. 4-6 + tie string from one to the other on the opposite side. You’d be able to go up and down the plant like a vertical trellis… sorta lol I wish I had pics from when I did it last year outside. It worked better than a tomato cage for me.
If I were in this situation I would choose not to jam a bamboo stick or anything for that matter into the soil. This would cause unnecessary damage to the root system.
If it where in veg I would do the holes in the pot and tie strings. This would help open the plant up for light penetration.
Since it’s in flower and this is not the case I would choose the bamboo sticks on the exterior of the pot. Duct tape would work to fasten them to the pot. This would allow you to tie string higher up on the bamboo to help support the weight of the flower. Rather then trying to open the plant up you are simply trying to support the extra weight of the growing flower.
Introducing a fan to a growing plant dose not only supply fresh unstable air but also helps the plant grow strong. The wind vibrates the plant ever so slightly that it must grow in girth and strength to support itself in the windy conditions. (Think of Mother Nature)
This small act of wind is very beneficial to a growing cannabis plant. ![]()
I would run bamboo stake too.
I appreciate all you guys time and opinions! Thank you all!
