Late Start in summer

I live in southern US. The summer solstice has passed . We will have warm weather. Plenty of sun exposure growing in pots but shorter days. I grow outdoors. Can I expect any decent results from planting now?

You can extend your grow period by keeping them under light indoors nothing fancy, a simple led screw on bulb, just keep in mind how bad, or good your winters are for growing outdoors, my winters dont frezze or snow, temp stay at 60 degree so i grow all year round

I’d go with Autos or something that has a shorter flowering time, indica perhaps, so it’ll be done before you get a lot of humidity or rain…this year. Welcome to ILGM!

Thanks to all of you. I have ordered some autos and will be starting asap. Just fyi I started growing some years ago for my wife who had cancer. It helped her until she died recently. I had some left over that I gave away and discovered there were other cancer survivors who benefited. Now I am growing as a memorial for my wife. Not a bid for praise here but just a way of sharing an act of love.

Oh, man, @raptorride! I’m so sorry to hear about your wife. I’m a cancer survivor, myself. That’s great that you’re helping others out. I hope you find some peace in that.

Good man :hugs:

I have Autos and Photos going outside and I am in Michigan to. I think it’s perfect timing actually seeing how the weather has been. Mine will be in fabric pots cause I am not gonna let mom nature drowned them out lol.

Welcome! Sorry about your loss. Cancer is terrible, My husband died from Colin Cancer 18 years ago. He was on a liquid Marijuana in hospital to help with pain and appetite. I am growing ILGM to help my now husband who is a Vietnam Veteran, to help with all he has to deal with. Good luck with your grow, I have never used the auto’s or Photo’s. I do have some clones outside that revegged and starting to bloom again. I don’t know a thing about outside grow. I hope to see your plants as they grow.:herb:
