Lack of amber trichomes

Autoflower Northern lights and Amnesia haze in grow tent.
12 1/2 weeks since germination.
Slow development of trichomes.
Flushed 2 weeks ago.
No amber trichomes on 4 plants (2 of each).
However most of the larger buds are now 75 % cloudy and the layers of trichomes look like “melted” white plastic. 25 % still slightly clear.
Pistils almost all brown.
!0% of fan leaves are yellowing.
Should I harvest or wait?
Thanks to all.
These are my first plants!

That makes it easier for others to see the whole picture.
Ive got a couple northern autos at 15 wks since germ and they’ve got another wk or 2 left
They also didn’t show pistils till wk 7.

Amber trichomes are a sign of the degradation of THC into CBN or CBG (can’t recall)
So not having a bunch now is normal. You likely have a couple weeks left to go. Provided you are wanting a couch locked feeling. This diagram is the most helpful I’ve seen on this topic.

You will need a jewelers loop or a usb microscope to get a good look. It’s also customary to show off your ladies goodies to the boards. Bunch of Trichporn junkies up in here.

I can’t(or don’t know how to) get good micro shots with my iphone X.

My last northern lights auto went 16 weeks from out of the ground to get proper amber. Like everyone else says depends on your preference of how much if any amber you want.

Ok thanks for that.
sounds like I need to wait 2-3 weeks longer.

When you do look at the trichomes with either a jewelers loop or a usb microscope you will want to be sure to judge the trichomes on the buds themselves and not the sugar leaves. The ones on the leaves will mature faster then those on the buds. You will also want to start scoping about a 1/3 of the way down from the top of the bud. It’s important to know that even if you planted two of the same strain on the same day does not mean they will finish at the same time. The timeframe given by seed venders is only a loose estimate. Only the trichomes know when she is done.
