Was wondering about the switches in both my King LED lights. I had a 1000 wat and a 2000 wat grow light. They have 2 switches on them
One says veg the other says flower. In the book it says turn both on for fruit. Question is, when you turn them both on it is super bright. I keep reading when they are in flower they crave light. I am towards the end of my flower (8weeks)… Would it be beneficial to turn them both on now. If not why? If so why? Thanks guys Sheila is doing awesome with all the help I got here.
Turn on both. Keep both on always. Use height to adjust par. Those older lights can grow nice plants if used correct.
Are you saying I should have turned on both right from the get-go? Through seedling veg and flour? I thought there was different light spectrums for each of those which was supposed to be beneficial to the plant? Here’s a couple of pictures of Sheila I think she’s got a week or two left. I’ll be taking some pictures and posting them when I get someone here that can hold still enough to take the photos up close. I can’t stand without hanging on to something and when I let go to take a photo with my microscope camera it’s all blurry.
Yes. Just turn both switches to “ON” and forget they even exist.
Those lights can do a good job. There are more efficient lights now, but hey I still use my old blurples in my starter cabinet. Works great.
Wish I had known that from the start. Oh well next time. These are new lights from Amazon. Must be old technology since they were what I could afford. Grand Daddy Purple 15 weeks since she broke ground and 8 weeks into flower.
How big is your tent?
Looks like some tasty bud yeah I would agree with the statements above though turn both switches on and let her rip you probably only have like 200 Watts on the 2000 light
It is a 3x3x6’
I have one of these in my 3x4. At this price a great value.
Perfect for a 3x3. The actual Mars Hydro company has one on auction on eBay all the time.
I got one for 167.00 Has the full warranty. Ships right from Mars Hydro.
Mars started out selling cheaper lighting and still is not well thought of by some. But this light uses Samsung LM301B diodes which are very good and only surpassed by the H version which is the same diode but only the most efficient ones are designated as “H”
I know you would have great results with it. But money is tight for a lot of us so there’s that too.
This is the smaller king led it says 1000W I am guessing that means 1000 Watts. The one in the grow tent says 2000W on it.
That’s what they say but that is not what they put out if you put them in a meter that plugs into your receptacle that reads the Watts coming out of the wall they will only be 100 and 200 watt lights if that that same company if you complain to them they will try and buy your reviews by giving you a free light they are a shady company , both together would give you 300 watts but I’m sure they will run very hot
They both have fans and are cool to the touch.
Keep them close as can heat permitting at canopy. Both switches and they will grow whatever can fit in the footprint. A plant probably. Because of power and efficiency the close hang is needed. Footprint shrinks accordingly. Heat at canopy increases. Better down the road suggested but what you have can do the job.
Welcome to the Community , As mentioned definitely Turn both switches on flowering stage.
Its a 100 watt light as stated on their own website.
Very common to overstate power on grow lights.
3000 actual watts would consume 25 amps of 120v power and would trip a residential 20amp breaker every time.
However you can grow a decent plant or maybe 2 under them, Just know there are better light choices. I too bought this type of light and still use one to start seedlings.
Thanks for the info. It is definitely doing the job. I was worried the wife was gonna yell about the power bill. Guess I don’t have to worry about that now. I have the 1000 on clones and the 2000 in the tent. With both lights turned on I hope .y plants do even better.
The pics are in my clone room.
Nice hat!
