Keepin it Modest with Some FastBuds…

So here we go again… trying something new thanks to the inspiration of @Lostgirl ……. 420 FastBuds!!! Apparently the word on the street is that these ladies are seed to harvest in 9-11 weeks. I was looking for something to maybe supplement a little variety, and doing it quickly. These should fit the bill. They have a random mix pack for a pretty decent deal so I figured why not give it a whirl. Variety is the spice of life after all.

One challenge I foresee with this is obviously having now clue what the plants are. The mix pack can be anything in their entire collection so who the heck knows. But what’s cool is that I feel like it will make me a better grower because I’ll be truly relying on instinct and what knowledge I’ve gained and will continue to gain.

Using up some fox farm Nutes I had leftover from my last grow, and plan on supplementing some organic ideas into it as well. (After this grow I plan on going all organic, but that’s another story all together).

Another challenge I do see (if they all sprout that is), is keeping 5 ladies thriving in a 3x3 tent. But the good news, these buds are supposed to be pretty small. Fingers crossed…
So without further ado, here are The 5 Randoms (possible band name). Will come up with names for them when the time is right but for now, they will simply be 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.

Now let’s get this show on the road. Pitter pat.

Sounds like you got a solid plan and off to a good start
I hope they do finish fast as possible but I’m skeptical of “seed to harvest” times when they are given by breeders
From my experience they never line up with autoflowers.
Every one I’ve ever had took at least 8 weeks of flower, so that would leave only 3 weeks to veg from sprout

Good luck on your grow. My experience has been 10-14 weeks with autos I have had small autos but I’ve had large ones I had to bend over and tie them down. This was 8 plants (super skunk) in a 4x8 tent. Turned into a forest. 6 in a tent 3x3 will be popping at the seams if grow goes well. Keep me posted I’m excited to see your grow.

Yeah I’m certainly skeptical about the timing. @Lostgirl has a solid journal using this breeder and they do seem quick but I highly doubt they’ll be done in 9 weeks. We shall see what happens with these ladies!!!

I’m thinking it might get a little cramped in the tent. At least hopefully hahaha. Curious about these 420 FastBuds either way. They seem like a pretty interesting breeder and if they really are quick then that’s great for Minnesota outdoors too. Might be able to get two harvests outside??? We’ll see what happens.

Purple Lemonade (10 weeks)

I’ve seen that purple lemonade of theirs and it looks amazing. I just got their mix pack so who knows what’s in it (be neat if there’s a purple lemonade). If not though I may just order some of those. Such a pretty lady!!!

I’ve got an auto growing now that’s 9 weeks old today and it’s getting close to done. Almost full cloudy. I’m not gonna push it to amber I’ve been reading they sometimes don’t hit that point.

I’ve heard that also but haven’t looked too deep into it yet. I generally try and avoid too much amber because I don’t always want the couch lock. Unless it’s my bedtime smoke haha

So far this is the timing…
420 Fastbuds
Gorilla cookie - done on day one of week 9
Purple lemonade - in week 10 done
Chemdawg - Done day one of week 10

I have one purple lemonade and one Green Crack going into week 11 still not done.

Well I consider done is 15% Amber

As for your mix pack sure it’ll be all over the board  as @yourviolentpast stated above you will absolutely not be disappointed in anything they have. Five plants in a 3X3 keep your fingers crossed for the little 3 ft guys.

the gorilla cookie is :fire:X20 hands down one of the absolute best weeds I’ve ever smoked in my entire life.

Chemdog and purple lemonade should be testable in 2 days

Good luck brother let me know if you need anything! I’m following along with your grow

Glad to have you along for the ride. From your journal I’m keen on checking out those gorilla cookies and the purple lemonade, so if this goes well might be doing another order of just those!!! I’m gonna be doing some research on their strains and see if I’ll be able to distinguish what the heck I got from them, but I figure they’ll all probably do the job. None of them will get me less high after all hahaha. Thanks for tagging along!!!

Last year, at this time, we were looking for another baggie of something, cuz we were getting low. We didn’t care what it was.

This year, we are growing our own, cuz we have an empty tent. It doesn’t really matter what it is.

Haha yeah I’ve been slacking on this. Conferences for the kids this week and on top of everything else I pushed this off. But since you asked here we go…

All 5 sprouted and they are looking pretty good so far. I chose to dome them this go around and it seems the little girls are liking their new life above soil. Just gave them a spritz of ph’d water the other day and that seems to be enough for them. I don’t wanna over water them which is easy to do when they’re so little. They are currently in some happy frog so that should suffice until I put them in their final homes. Planning on using 3 gallon with Fox Farms Ocean Forest with a couple amendments from Build a Soil. I have some nutes leftover from last grow which should be enough to get me through this whole grow I think. But so far here we go…

Looking good man :+1:
Is the one at the top right in the picture stuck in the seed membrane
Looks like it’s wearing a covid mask :mask:
If that is the case, you may want to try and help it get it off by wetting it a little bit andxwait a few minutes for it to soften up and see if you can pull it off without hurting it, just be very gentle.

Even just wetting it down good may be enough to allow it to slide out on its own by the next day, it’s not a full helmet head but it does look a little stuck, like the round leaves can’t open up

The top right just popped yesterday and I went ahead and helped her out after the pic was taken. She should be good to go in a day or so!!!
