So i have this bubblegum thats been in flower for 10 weeks and she is way behind with very little bud development. I know each plant is different but the other are just trucking along and are about done. The plant in question is thick and bushy lower buds are starting to come in but very airy and it get worse as you go up the plant i know theres sone deficiencies going on but i dont know if i should continue with her or cut my losses. This late into flower will she still do her thang or is it just too late.?
It’s your call but looks to be actively flowering now. You might perform a defoliation just to open up bud sites or give it the chop and use for cookies.
Will try defoliation and see , i did spread her open and i can see some new developments so ill treat her like a brisket and see what happens its done when its done
So will she continue on the flower cycle at her own pace? After i flipped her it took 6 weeks to even start showing signs of flower.
Some plants take longer to reach sexual maturity. No matter the light schedule, they won’t flip until they are ready. Likely that’s what happened; based on the other plants in the same grow space.
I’ve had a few like that and they never produce big (5 or 6 oz.) but you have already invested time and space and money to it so might just see it through. I’d guess another 6 weeks.
5 or 6 oz ? I generally get 1 to 2 per plant. These are the biggest i ever grown. Had some soil problems and just switched to happy frog and advanced nutrients
They were all flipped at the same time.
I normally expect to pull 12 to 14 oz. of dried flower per plant.
Current grow; just flipped at 7 weeks in veg.
I expect it to look like this:
Wow. Thats freaking awesome man.
What training techniques do you do?
Most grows I just supercrop and top. Sometimes (like this one plant) I felt it would benefit from a SCROG. I was right as this is a fast growing large plant (Phylos Lemon Fresh photo).
I’ve done a lot of different styles over the years to find what works best for me.
