I truly appreciate when things are explained within a logical framework of facts, rather than a loosely gathered group of assumptions or presumptions. @Budbrother is usually summoned because he will explain it to you and back it up with the why or how. This begs the question if one should leave a light on post chop? Does a plant stop photosynthesis at chop or is there a waning off period?

Dark has always been hog wash to me. I’ve heard people claiming they get more trichome production and stuff, but i was always was of the mind that - IF there actually was any production would that be clear heads? We all know how long it takes to ripen up to cloudy. What it does do for you, when you have a stalled plant is to push it to ripen up faster. Thats the only use I’ve ever had for sustained dark periods.
@SausageMahoney post chop is dark so we can begin degrading chlorophyll. Light and heat degrade THC and terps, so keep it dark and cold. I read a study once that showed degrading an interruption of curing with even a few second of light.
