I would really just like to know how people that have a little more knowledge about it than I, which is little bit I’m learning. So I just want to know what you all think about how my plant looks and any advice would definitely be considered/ listened to. So this is my first grow, the strain is Zkittlez (fem) started it back on 6/20. Haven’t been doing really nothing to much special with it. Also wondering which stuff to trim. Because she definitely has not shaved ever, except obvious leafs and branches and bud sites looking for further advice on pruning. Just basically been feeding her water the whole time and some home made banana peel water stuff and yea that’s it. I just yesterday got my Foxfarm- nute trio. Should I begin giving her any of it at this point in the game, oh yea, she is in , I think week 3 goin into 4 of flowering. I changed lighting around the 29th of July.
Hey if you can take some pics with white light instead of purple, we can’t really see much! But from what I’m seeing so far your plant looks very well and welcome to the community growmie!
P.S. You don’t have to trim anything that isn’t dead, it’s all energy for the plant unless you mean at harvest
Plant looks great! If it were me id trim off all those bud sites not getting light and only leave like 6-10 closest to the tops. The top buds will then get alot bigger and the plants energy wont be wasted on popcorn nugs. Dont get me wrong it all smokes the same but this way fattens up all the nugs up nicely. Thx alot. Should I do all that at one time? And when u say u would leave like 6-10 on the top. So your saying to just basically cut all bud site of from the the bottom of the pic down or even higher?
Any branch i want to keep i count 6-10 bud sites down and anything after that point gets the cut. You can leave more than that if you want of you believe they are getting adequate light. Usually i run a trellis net and anything below the top canopy gets cut so im only left with the tops of branches and 6-10 bud sites per branch
I mean I turn the plant around everyday to a different position, doing my best to get all angles of the plant more intensity of light by turning it closer to the light. It’s already in a Mylar grow tent thing 2’x1’x5’ so all angles of the plant are definitely getting light but it makes me.feel better and like it may help it out by doing what I’m doing (turning it). There are some bud sites that will def be coming of though . How much should I trim off at one time, bud sites I mean. ,(I couldn’t send this, I was out of replies. So I went ahead and cut some bud sites off and all that stuff. I cut all the bud sites off really that were below 5-6 sites per branch or if they were real small, compared to the smallest common sized bud. Again we are some where in wk3or4 in flowering. I hope I did right. Oh well learning experience if I didn’t huh, lol
For a first time grow u did nice. Best advice i could give is keep plants shorter with training and get rid of the blurple. Lighting is most important and if its blurple its no bueno
It’s not really that color of “bluurple” to that’s how my camera picks it up though. It’s a full spectrum LED light. It’s a “Gixxer 1000w full spectrum LED grow light” it has a " Veg" switch and a “Bloom” switch and what u were seeing is both Veg and Bloom on at same time. Here some other pics I took today
