Just finished the new tent!

Me and the wife just finished our new 5x8 tent! So far we just have the 2x240 HLG knockoffs, but planning on adding the spider farmer 1000 and maybe another light as well. Will only be doing 4 plants and hopefully taking up the entire 8 foot side.
Let me know any thoughts or suggestions!

I am thinking 2x55 gallon totes, but could also go 4x27 gallon totes. I think the 2x55 makes more sense, but any thoughts are appreciated!
@Covertgrower @PurpNGold74 @TDubWilly any other hydro people?

Looks good! One thing I can see is that you can get more coverage out of the lights you have by spreading them out. Never understood why they made dual slate heat sinks. By getting triple slate heat sinks or if you have the means to cut those heat sinks in half, you can cover a wider range with the lights you have.

Basically making them independent lights then? Not a bad idea! Like having 4x120 watt lights instead of 2x240. Do you think those lights will support 4 plants, or am I also going to need the spider farmer 1000? I have 3x blurples I can supplement with as needed, hopefully not needed though.

The way the dual slate heat sinks are, there’s a lot of overlapping light that can be taken advantage of by spreading the boards apart. That’s why they came out with the triple slate heat sinks that you see with the 260xl. Xl meaning xtra long. I run 4 qb135w kits. Each plant gets their own light. Each qb board is good for a 2x2 area. So if you keep each plant within 4 sqft, each plant only needs one board.

Could also use the triple heat sync and mount a uv bar in the middle. I may just buy 2 new heat syncs and 2 uv bars and have better
Lights! I appreciate the info! @BobbyDigital

I still recommend the HLG version.

The plan is to get
The money for some of the Samsung photo boost strips and make a new light, but hopefully until then these will work.
