Just a bit top heavy

My Banana Kush is becoming the leaning tower of piza. I hear adding silica will help strengthen the stem and branches. Is this true? What brand of silica is suggested?

Thanks for your input.

I think it’s late for silica
I’d use a stick to keep that up

I use bamboo stalks from lowes. Just picked up a bunch for about 20 bucks

Too late for silica to “save” that branch imo.
A stake will help to hold the weight of the buds.

Wow, any mold issues (what’s your RH like with that one)? How much did you break down the buds for drying?

I use plant yo-yos and they work great

Ok, one of the things I’ve not accomplished is those giant beer can buds.

What’s the trick?

Thanks for all the responses! I did get some bamboo sticks to hold things up, a good solution for the moment. But for future reference I think I’d like to try adding silica if it helps. But I don’t know anything about silica. Can I get some insight to its use and recomendations?

I found this

Take a look

One method is called flower -based defoliation. You lollipop your plants removing the leaves but leaving all but the very lowest flowering sites. This allows maximum light penetration and stimulates the plant to redirect its energy to flower production. Usually done in very early flower . Look it up online and you’ll see several guides to doing it properly. When combined with topping or low stress training it can massively increase yields
