Johaar heritage / landrace

Oh my they smell tasty as f…k though! Real musky kinda hashy with citrus notes! Need the height though unless you top at node 3 and wait a week then switch to 12 /12 but you do 12/12 always anyways right?

Yeah I do 12/12 start to finish. So all my Sativas tend to hit 7 feet and taller. I know the Johaar can get massive. I hope you are ready for it. I have for sure 37 Johaar seeds. :+1::+1::+1:

In fact the lights just turned on.

Well the man himself said to me these can hit 18 to 20 feet in the wild!!! OMG so far they seem like they are living up to that  fortunately I have 12 feet up and 24 feet across! That otta work right?

Well we will see won’y we? Did you get the Mystery Afghan seeds of their?

Yeah surprisingly the Balkhi was the free seed! I got it with the johaar and Tashkurghan I ordered. I guess Ill sace the Tashkurghan for next summer? Seems pretty cool too?

Yeah it should. I love these Landrace strains. Had to pull my Tora Bora in favor of my 2 Autos. The two other Tora Bora never showed there sex. And with two cancer patients relying on me, I have to move forward on a couple CBD strains I have in my Seed Bank.

I have I think 5 or 6 landrace strains from them. But Johaar scares for an indoor grow.

Thanks…it sucked to pull them. But I learned plenty so it was still worth it either way. I will pull out my seeds tomorrow and post which Landraces I have. My curiosity is peeked now.

That’s awesome

May the grow gods shine on these ladies :v:

Well then, you have much to learn grass smoker! Landrace implies that the plant material has not been introduced to foreign material other than by natural introduction… birds shitting, wind blowing pollen from miles away etc. The reality is there are very few examples of these left. In fact, Id venture to say none! To be more accurate these plants in far away places have been grown by cultures as far back as written history and seed has been traded to villages over many years. In other words, what some call landraces have been cultivated for centuries. There are feral plants in india and other places, they grow in the ditches and along roadsides almost everywhere in places, yet they to have had genetic material passed in the air. Some will get you stoned, and some wont. The Johaar, sativa plant Im growing comes from a place that refuses to allow foreign seed in their area because they have relied on the fibre, seed oil, and hand rubbed charas for thier sole livelihood for decades, and any contamination would destroy their plants. Its all very interesting, and culturally a super important plant to some peoples. And since we are on the subject, its time for a weekly photo update!

They are now topped except for the sativas. I will start the Thai caging pretty soon as wire caging wont be feasible in the greenhouse. Once the Balkhis double the top count its going to be THICK☆. I think Balkhi number 2 is going to be cloned. Even If I get seed from her chances are that build will be a needle in a haystack. And that plant is sweet, the best natural form Ive ever grown! I would love to give you a cut!
