JayJays Cannabis Story

Dang dang. Well when it comes to a tent, can I get the cheapest tent I can find and be okay?

It’s a gamble. Like most things, you get what you’re paying for. Cheaper tents will be made from cheaper materials. So, zippers might not last as long or work as easily as a “better” model. And light leaks might also be the cause for some headaches…
You don’t have to get the most expensive ones (Gorilla Tents). AC Infinity or Mars-Hydro also have good offerings. Make sure to get one that has at least 600D fabric and good zippers and you should be good. Google the model you want to buy for the reviews, that should give you the real info you need to make a good decision.

What do y’all think about this, think it would work?

@kaptain3d man holy shit the cheapest 4by4 is like 80 bucks on Amazon. I don’t know why I was thinking I could find me a tent for 20 or 30 bucks haha

Check fb marketplace, people grow one time, find that they don’t enjoy growing, and dump their outfits quick and cheap

Man I’ve been looking there is nothing close by me. They got a few the next state over and I’m going to need a 4x4 I guess, hopefully that will be big enough. I’m going to get this figured out

You could also check the manufacturers websites… AcInfinity, Mars-Hydro, SpiderFarmer… are decent brands.

Hard to say without having the product in hands… But if you get one with at least 600D fabric, you should be good, imo.

Ozone is a no no, it displaces oxygen and can be dangerous confined. Your are going to have to spend enough to get decent equipment or no use to even try, my Grandpa said you can’t make chicken salad out of chicken sh!t. I hate to say it but cheap stuff that works is a thing of the past, equipment wise.

Check marketplace too, might find a bargain there.

Yes I seen that about ozone not being good for occupied spaces but also see some ozone machines advertised saying best odor eliminator for hydroponics saying that it’s used in hydroponics a lot I was thinking maybe I could just cut it on once or twice a day for a few minutes at a time

Could try, but I think that unit is too small to cover the smell of cannabis. Might want to look at low smell strains too.:+1:

Is any of the ones I got from you low smell strains??

Most are more fruity but still smell. White Widow is known for low smells. Google it, there’s several more stealthy ones.

Ozone can remove odors and kill germs, which is why it is sometimes used in hydroponics, but it has many downsides. It is not safe to use in occupied spaces, and even short exposure can irritate the lungs, eyes, and throat. High levels can also damage plant leaves, rubber, plastics, and electrical parts over time. Running it for just a few minutes might seem harmless, but it is hard to control how much ozone builds up, and it often does not reach the real source of the odor.

I almost went for an in line duct ozone generator to exhaust outdoors. However it can even corrode ducting components and sealants.

I’ve tried ona gel/knock offs. They work ok, but it’s not a great smell and really can’t keep it in the same room as the plant. They also have a short life so they get expensive fast.

The ozone generator you posted is likely a cash grab, and its production is likely sporadic

There are tons of knock off ona gels at stores, most stores. Ranging from $1-$5 a jar. I have used these on more than one occasion when all of the carbon filters were over whelmed.

@Low yeah I just left the Dollar tree and got one of the knockoff citrus scent absorber it was only a $1.50 so I just can’t see it doing anything haha maybe I will put it inside of the wall

I’ve used them at the end of exhausts. The one you got should last 2 weeks or so.

@Low I wonder if I could cut a little slit in my exhaust duct after the filter you know and then I can drop stuff in there when I need to and just seal it with a piece of insulated tape if need be

You’ll have to get creative. Odor is no fun and often challenging. Just don’t have it near plants. I’ve read it can make them smell/taste like the gel.
