@Nip Thanks… Yes they look great!!..So far the Jacks 321 is working pretty good…Ive noticed a big difference so far…compared to other products used …
My plant’s look better this year, it’s good fertilizer and goes a long way
JR Peters has been selling fertilizer long before most were born. Up until a few years ago, I’d put out a few tons of their 31-0-0 nitrogen for wheat pastures for grazing.
I did not put jacks and jr together until a mod mentioned their background.
I still give thanks to @Hellraiser and his journal using jacks for the first time.
Toot toot love that jacks train.
Speaking of Jacks, everybody that has ordered through jacks gets a box with blue hand prints on the box sides.
Was visiting a lake with private owned bait shop. This bait shop had 2 blue hand prints on all visibile outdoor walls.
???
Sorry I missed your question and here it is 6 months later & I’m just now replying. My apologies. In coco, with Jack’s, you must feed every time you water. And you are supposed to water to around 20% runoff. I collect the runoff and send it back through, but I’m probably just sending the salts back in (one of the benefits of 20% runoff is to wash out the salt buildup). As far as ph goes, I’ve read (on this forum, I believe) that, in coco, after you’ve added the fertilizer to the water, the optimum ph you want the nutrient mix to be at is 5.8, whereas in a soil medium, you wanna he around 6.5. Might not seem like a big diff, but it is. I try to ensure that my nutrient mix is right at 5.8, that way I can hust disregard the ph of the runoff, which should always be a touch higher than what it was before it went through the coco. Tje few times I did measure the ph before (5.8) and after, the runoff came in at 6 or 6.1. Let the plants talk to you. They’ll letchu know when something’s not quite right.
Wow I guess I shoulda scrolled before I replied. My apologies folks. A bit slow today.
Go for the 25 pound bags of part a & part b with the Jack’s. I did a couple months ago. I don’t anticipate having to buy nutes for (probably) the rest of my life.
Just popped a couple of pink runtz beans that I had to go off-site for (c’mon ilgm, get us that pheno!) and they are basking comfortably in red solo cups with coco and Jack’s. Growth rates are phenomenal, per usual.
I. Am. Never. Going. Back. To. Dirt.!
Please allow me to quickly circle back to the pink runtz strain. Had to go through a competitor. Won’t name the company, but they rhyme with “skim” and they “burned” me. Initially dropped 4 pink runtz beans into my normal cup of distilled water, 2 immediately sank like a stone to the bottom. We all know what that means. Long story short, “skimburns” only has a 90 day guarantee on their product. The fact that my beans were stored in the refrigerator (as are all the rest of my stock, never any problems there) made no difference to the skim and burners. They were unwilling to budge.
Every once in a while I have to relearn some lessons the hard way.
Ilgm.com is king! Long live the king!
Update:…I’m lovin the switch to Jacks 321…So glad I listened and went for it…It has been noticeably improvement over other nutes Ive used…Improved growth, vigor and looks like more trichs too… I also ,for the first time am using silica…along with my usual Tribus and Fish!t…Jacks gets a thumbs up…
anyone running hydroguard in RDWC with jacks?
Update, Those Folks at Jack’s are creating miracles in bags, My best outdoor grow since I switched and it’s easy to use and cheaper, I can’t wait to get into the bag of 10-30-20 Bloom
Walmart online has more hydroponic grow supplies than i ever imagined. Never shopped Amzon, never will. Hope i never have too.
Some big girls.
I’ve been using 1/2 teaspoon Jacks 5-12-26. A quarter teaspoon magnesium and a 1/2 teaspoon calcium nitrate. So far so good.
Question
Now that we are flowering should I change anything?
Best Grow I ever had outside, I’m thinking about a Big Harvest this year, Got to get through the Heat and Bugs and I should have it
That light looks nice. Do you like it ? How much was it and what is the wattage.
LED I’m using in my 4 x 4 x 6.5 is a Mars Hydro fc4800. Pretty solid LED for that square footage.
Looking great!
