I know this is a day old, but thought I’d throw this out there.
I use yogurt cups labeled for each component to weigh out the ingredients.
I fill two glass 1/2 gal pickle jars with RO water, leaving 3 or 4 inches from being full. I fill an induction kettle with RO water and start.
While the kettle heats up I begin the transfer of RO water to the nutrient reservoir. I add Silica while it fills and let the transfer agitation mix the silica. I have a stir pump in the Nute res which I start as soon as the RO covers the stir nozzles.
While the res fills, I measure out part A, B, Epsom and PH up.
By the time I have everything weighed out the kettle is ready, and I top off the pickle jars until they are warm. (not hot)
I mix Part A and B in separate jars, stir for 5-10 seconds, until there is a little tornado swirling in the jar. While the swirl is going I dump the Epsom in with the part A and swirl / stir again.
After 5 min I can pour the Part A / Epsom jar in the reservoir as it finishes filling up.
By the time it’s full I’m ready to add the second jar to the res.
Five minutes five minutes later, PH.
Whole process is 25 minutes or so.
I’ve tried “bloom” and other things similar, didn’t see a difference, but too many other variables to know for sure.
I did a whole bunch of stuff wrong and Jacks just kept on work’n. I’m a fan.
I would suggest to anyone, get the basics down first. Then start tweaking with add on’s and just do one thing at a time so you’ll know what actually makes a difference.
Before I start my next grow, I’ll be experimenting with pre-mixing concentrates out of Jacks. I hope this will allow more automation of the fertigation.
As @Growdoc says, Jacks web site has great vids and everything ya need to know about it.
