you could try and raise the pH a bit to 6.2 to slow down on the nitrogen uptake if you see any burn starting .

Thanks to everyone tagging along! It may be a slow-going experiment but I’ll be keeping track as things progress with any degree of noteworthiness.
Today is the day Grow Dots autoflower has emerged from the Coco. It’s still struggling a bit but the shell is gone and she’s clearly getting ready to upright.
They each got 10 ounces of water, Grow Dots got plain RO, and No Dots got full strength Jack’s.

Yeah, I’ll be honest I worried a lot about that doing a transplant straight into the coco, and mixing the dots straight into pretty damp coco. But nope, no ill effects!

It’s been ~14 days, 12 days since transplant into coco with the dots/no dots.
Grow Dots
No Dots
So far Grow Dots appears larger. That’s about the only note I’ve got - faster at growing out true leaves than No Dots.

Nice the dots seem a bit bigger but if u really really get in there u can start to see a super super slight tip.burn happening on the points and side of the leaves. Hope it don’t progress too much but otherwise they look great for just getting the water. Not even calmag in the water??

Absolutely nothing. It usually gets RO water but sometimes I get lazy and just use tap water PH’d down to 5.8.
I agree with the slight tip burn but I expect it, to be honest, since these are autoflowers and my general understanding is autos are a little more sensitive about those kinds of things than photoperiod plants. I want to do a 2 clone run of jacks v grow dots at some point to take all the other variables out, but these are F4’s so I feel good they’re almost as genetically identical as an autoflower can be anyway.

That they are. I’m wondering if that’s why my autos came out a bit larfy because I overfed. I always fed them like the photos. Same mix and all. If they flowered together they got an the same food together lol. They always looked wonderful tho.

@Mark0427 had to re-read what you wrote (I’m pretty 
atm. Lol) a few times, took me forever to find the burn, and thought you were talking about the yellowing of the background plant at first. Major Der (Insert salute) moment for me once I figured it out.
