Does this look like magnesium deficiency? I check run off ph and its 6.8. i dont have a reliable ppm meter but I feed fox farm nute following thier feeding table. I do a wate to dry watering schedule. ive never had a plant do this before and have never added any kind of magnesium before. Its in a 5 gallon pot. i have epsom salt and was wondering how much to give per gallon of water? thanks All.
Looks like the beginning of nute burn. Have you done a flush yet? Fox Farms is notoriously salty and needs to be flushed. I would get a decent PH pen (Apera is what I use) and a cheap EC pen. Test runoff and feed when under 1000 ppm. Do the flush first and measure runoff numbers.
Agreed with above. Runoff is important, you need to know what is going on in the root zone. Could be locked out. Need to do the 3 week flush from my experience after flip.
1 tablespoon epsom salt and 1 tablespoon molasses.
Same question. Have you flushed yet ?
I havent flushed yet. I probably didnt give best info in my original post sorry. These are auto flowers in ocean forest soil. They are 5 weeks old. I dont feed for the first 4 weeks. so they have had 2 feedings at half recommended dose of grow big and tiger bloom. After 3rd week I did top dress with worm castings. I usually flush every 4 weeks after i start feeding. should I still go ahead and flush? This plant has grown faster than what im accustomed to. I was actually worried I might be starving her. The other plant is happy and healthy. this one the leaves started to get yellow strips and then started getting brown spots. my run off ph is 6.8. does it need adjusted? I do need to invest in a quality tds tester. I had a cheap one that broke and probably only gave bad readings anyways lol. I just try to feed as little as seems necessary to keep them healthy. this in only my 4th grow so im still pretty inexperienced.
Edit… Thank you to everyone who gave an answer. sorry im late to respond just got caught up at work… I do appreciate the help and time.
Should be using the big bloom also. They work best when used all together. I dont feel a few feedings would require a flush yet. I have made it through almost 3 grows with the trio w/o having issues with salt build up. Agree with others that runoff numbers would help narrow the issue.
I followed the chart and fed full strength but I had plants in organic promix with no nutes in it, so I fed from the 2nd week of sprout on. Here is a chart if you dont have one.
