Just making it into work. I have a couple of boats. 14’ smokercraft with a 40hp, basic skiff for fishin, goes pretty fast with just me in it. And 1974 Chrysler Mutineer sailboat. Yes, the same manufacturer as the vehicles, it even got the Chrysler pentagram on the hull. :joy:

Nice work on the Cummins @1LuckyMF Ive eyed those for some time. Only wish Cummins came on a different platform. I’ve seen too many dodges lawn chaired, with a load. Only the newer ones, I think they changed the frame.
I’ve always wanted and maybe someday I’ll throw a duramax in my Chevy Subdivision…

Morning everyone.

Yep, don’t remember when they upgraded, but the frame is fully boxed and I upgraded the front end to the snow package and replace the ball joints with Carli.

My brother has a 95 and I watched the problems he had, and then repeat. I decided to bite the bullet and do it once.

I had been looking for several years when the economy tanked in 08. They couldn’t hardly give away any big vehicles. I found one on the web for 16K off msrp and when I got there to pick it up it was in the shop getting a wiring harness swapped out. NOPE! This one was on the lot but was 4k more, I said I take for the price they quoted me for the other truck, that was the amount on the cashiers check. They said no and I walked out… they caught me before I left the parking lot. :four_leaf_clover: :four_leaf_clover:

The seats absolutely SUCK! I need a football field to turn around, but dang she’ll pull. :+1:t4:

@Low When measuring runoff, I use a small shoe box size tote to collect the runoff. Should I measure the whole thing? or…

Should I take a sample from what going into the tote towards the end of the runoff? (when I pull a sample I catch it in a cup before it goes into the tote.)

The reason I ask is because If I pull a sample as soon as it starts, it may be .5 / .6 over, if I wait till the last it’s almost identical to res EC. If I measure the whole tote when it’s through, it’s about .4 / .5 over.

Which of these is the correct one to be logging and adjusting to?

Anyone?

“Windage and elevation”.
Pick one method and stick with it.

20% run-off? then SWAG
Scientific Wild Azz Guess

Direction of change and amount are key numbers.

Yeah… That’s basically what I’ve done, but I’ve been using the “catch it at the end” numbers which are much closer to the res. Just trying to make sure I’m not “tricking” myself. lol

I actually use something similar, that’s where my condensate pump sits. I don’t get specific enough to test per run off. Just the average. Wouldn’t hurt if you wanted to though. I’ve considered buying H&M inline tds sensor to use in run off collection res. They are cheap and it can be quick reference for tds.

I have drip trays under my plants that take a few minutes to drain completely into my runoff tote. I suck a few ML out with a syringe and test in a 50ml beaker. It’s probably more effort than most would want to go to, but it’s a great protocol if you want to check the runoff of individual plants. I use it to dial in the needle valves on my irrigation to minimize water waste or when I’m having issues with a particular plant.

Morn’n brother gardeners… :slightly_smiling_face:

Sleep is eluding me… :sleepy: :sleepy: :sleepy: :sleepy: :sleepy:

I need to make a lid for the new RO reservoir, but with guest coming it’ll have to wait. Not enough time in the day to do everything and I don’t feel like doing anything. :weary:

One of my kids lives about 6 miles from us… wife was talking to them last night. They have 38 chickens :man_facepalming:t4: what’ve I done. lol

Morning @1LuckyMF . I was reading thru your journal and had a question. When you talk about sealing your lung room and better control over RH, what sort of ranges are you getting? I just switched to an aci controller about a week ago, and i noticed my rh spikes when i have lights on. I’m not sure if my rh has been doing this forever and I didn’t have the data. My lung room stays constant under 50%, but when lights come one the tent goes up to around 65%.

So two things happen when light come on.

One, and probably the biggest, the plants start to transpire, putting moisture in the air.

Two, any moisture on the surface of coco, or anywhere in the room starts to evaporate.

The position of the sensor plays a big roll too. I like to keep it really close to the upper canopy, but not touching a plant by a few inches in any direction.

I use a little window unit 5000 btu A/C which helps some, but mainly I run two 50 pint dehumidifiers and my lung room is only 8x12. I keep the RH close to 30 in the lung room. If I notice my RH in the tent is arounfd50, I know one of two things has happened. One dehumidifier has a pump, and will not dehumidify while pumping out the reservoir. Two, the other doesn’t have a pump and I need to empty the bucket.

Before I sealed up everything, I was drawing humidity from the outside where I put boards over windows, out of the attic where the shower / bathroom vent goes and is also vent to the outside, and from the house when the A/C is not running, which may be 50 to 70 depending on outside conditions.

Even with two dehumidifiers, it wasn’t enough due to the rapid exchange of air from the exhaust fan. I tried playing with fan speed and it helped but require constant tweaking. I used the flame from a cig lighter and watched the flicker to find all my leaks. There was even a screw hole in the ceiling that would almost blow the lighter out it was drawing so much.

Now it only draws from the door to the room and I can control how much depending on what’s going on in the rest of the house. The door doesn’t seal well so I use a towel across the bottom as a damper to keep it in check. Our weather is crazy high humidity, and the current temps don’t keep the house A/C on at night. This used to be a huge problem.

So currently RH in the tent stays 40 -45 and will bump up to 50 when one of the dehumidifiers cuts out. Lung room stays around 30.

Hmmm. Guess i could try to hammer on the lung room some more. I think my 60 pint can be set at 30. Its surprising how fast the humidity jumps; maybe 20 minutes from lights on to max rh. My probe is in middle of tent just under the canopy, so its not directly in the light.

I run both of mine on CO - Continuous Operation, they never shut off.

I just did same with mine. Also raised my probe as close as i could to the canopy. The rh is reading 55 now, so maybe probe was a bit low. This coco thing is new to me, and I’ll have to make more adjustments. Just have to keep these girls happy for 5 to 10 more weeks. Lol

Try’n ta clean up a little, guest will be here later today. I’ll check in when I can.

@T-ray Theres a lot of just BS’n in this thread, but some useful stuff too. Post 461 & 549 you may find interesting. The list in the first post of this thread has changed some. Adapting to my girls needs. Feel free to ask any questions, if I don’t get to them right away, I’m sure the gurus who’ve been guiding me will be glad to help. :slightly_smiling_face:  :four_leaf_clover: :four_leaf_clover: :love_you_gesture:t4: :love_you_gesture:t4:

Good morn’n all y’all wonderful growmies!!! :four_leaf_clover: :love_you_gesture:t4: :four_leaf_clover: :love_you_gesture:t4:

Had a great time visiting with my friend. Weather tried to mess with us but we just gave it :fu:t4: and kept right on play’n and have’n fun.

He had never used a plasma so he took a turn cutting out the lid for the new RO res and just giggled the whole time while finishing it up. He assured me the next time I go to his place there’ll be one in his shop. lol

Brought me a zip of Runtz & Gelato. I’ve never had gelato before, has a distinct flavor / profile. Kind’a liked it as a nice change up.

Girls are do’n good, res & runoff #'s still hold’n steady.

Couple of days will be 11 weeks, a few more pistils turning red every day… just a few. Trichs are showing a few cloudy tops here and there. Feels like I’m in the home stretch.

Anyways… now that I’m able to set the cruise a bit, farm work never ends. :four_leaf_clover: :four_leaf_clover: :love_you_gesture:t4: :love_you_gesture:t4:
