Need some help please. My setup:
50/50 mix FFOF/FFHF mixed 15-20% perlite. 2 Mars TSW2000 at 85% approximately 12” above plants. 2 Bruce Banner 1 Pink Runtz 1 Cheesecake Gelato. All autos. Currently at day 44.
Day 29 top dressed with Gaia Green 1 Tbsp 4-4-4 2 Tbsp 2-8-4. Two days ago I fed them 1/4 tsp per gallon of Beastie Bloomz. The two smaller plants seem fine the large two Bruce Banner plants seem to have this. Last grow same thing. Last time I kept a close on in runoff testing every time and kept everything within range 6.3-6.8 and between 700-1000ppm. Still had this issue.
The last 5 days they require half gallon water daily. I go in and check every day and the pots are light and solid very dry. While I was aiming for a ful organic grow as a result of what I was seeing, I added the Beastie Bloomz. Not seeing any sign of improvement actually it’s getting worse. Again, my 3rd time and each time I’ve had this issue going into week 3 of flower. I realize it looks like a potassium issue but do I feed her more. If so how much. How quick should I see it improve. The last three days the leaves have been droopy again this happened all 3 grows I feel like I’m missing something but can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong.
This is my third grow and each time I try something different to prevent this but it keeps happening. What’s going on.
PLEASE NEED SOME SERIOUS HELP AS YOU MNOW I DONT HAVE A LOT OF TIME TO CORRECT THIS.
What size are your pots? They look big in the picture.
I have plants in 2 gallon bags that take a 1/2 gallon every 3 days. Seems like them pots would take more water than that, and last a few days before watering again.
Yes. I have been testing my water going in has been 6.8 consistently. Last time I measured my runoff and would adjust accordingly it did me no good. This time I have been testing weekly. It does seem a bit low but it’s odd as it’s been low this whole time and every grow. Wondering if I have soil issues??? I didn’t water at all yesterday as I noticed the issue getting worse. Today it’s even worse.
I wanted to be strictly organic but with this issue I feel the need to attempt to correct it asap. But keep feeling like I’m chasing my tail and get very frustrated tbh. Going flush and try to get my soil runoff level up and then hit it with CALMAG I guess?? After I flush can I just ph water and add calmag or should I let it dry out all the way a few days then add the calmag.
Sorry for the late response, I wouldn’t let organics dry out, I also wouldn’t saturate them. For me running Gaia green I also keep the soil moist and don’t do wet to dry cycles, if I let the soil dry back to much I will get burns very similar to letting coco dry out.
Gaia green 284 has 12% calcium and plenty of magnesium so I don’t think cal mag is going to correct your problem.
700ppm seems low for organics and unfortunately doesn’t really tell you much when it comes to organic soil.
Yeah. I’m thinking it’s EC issue from too low soil pH. Wondering if I got a bad batch of soil. They are getting worse every day and fast. The top of the soil is very tight and water seems to repel almost. If that makes sense. Last test the pH was 5.3 off of the runoff which again I’ve been dead on with what I’m giving it so not sure how it keeps getting out of whack. Beginning to think that I would have been better not roughing the pH to lower it. Idk.
I don’t know if you got issue resolved, but if you are organic and a living soil if your soil dries out the soil becomes hydrophobic which means it won’t accept water, the water finds the fastest way out and the rest stays dry. Which means the plant is not getting nearly what it needs
Hey man. Thanks for the reply and support. Yes. I foolishly thought you should let the soil have wet/dry cycles. Realize that’s not true with organic.
Here’s a picture of the two plants now that had the issue. They are doing better. I do have a sprayer just haven’t been using it as it takes 3x as long to water. But in your experience it helps keep the soil evenly moist?
