Is this what I think it is...(herm)?

Sorry Dude, that would go right in the can in my grow.

I only have one other plant…what are the reprocussions of letting it finish and getting some bud and seeds?

Maybe ill just clip the hermie parts.

Only one branch has male parts and is isolated to (2) nodes.

It’ll pollinate the othe plant and then you get another herm! Then you get to completely sterilize your grow space before you can plant again.

Aw man…

That would be the plan, it’s only a 2x4 tent. Not a huge deal to sterilize, i had to do it before I used it.

@Graysin is a breeder, ill wait for his response if this is a tragedy or blessing in disguise…

Maybe take that whole branch off and watch for it to happen elsewhere. It’s risky, it still has a long way to go before even an early harvest.

@HMGRWN

I don’t mind seeds and whatnot, that’s a bonus to me. Does it effect smoke quality? I’m not a major smoker so massive potency isn’t especially important to me.

This is my first grow and just looking for some decent homegrown bud with what I KNOW goes into ig.

Yes. When the plant becomes pollinated, it focuses on seed production rather than trichomes and bulk bud material.

I mean, are we talking 90’s dirt weed or late 2010’s stuff? I don’t need a massive potentcy hahha

Flavor is more important to me.

Follow the advice and guidance of these great growers. With a decent setup you will grow excellent buds that your friends will be totally impressed with. In my case, I don’t use cannabis with any of my friends (none of them know I use or grow) but if I did, they would be impressed. :man_mage:

I had (2) hermie on the mild side. I monitored them and pulled off any nuts. I ended removing a few dozen off off each. My buds didn’t have a single see in them.

Seeds make the bud an inferior product, pretty much only good for concentrates and edibles. Not useless, but harder to work with.

That’s what I would do.

That’s a really common but bizarre misconception. A pollinated plant is not a hermaphrodite by itself. It’s just a pollinated female. Hermaphroditism isn’t contagious. Either the plant is genetically predisposed to herm, or it isn’t. It won’t herm merely by being in the presence of pollen.

That’s the answer. Dirt weed is the quality of bud you get outta seedy weed.

My recommendation is to snip the male parts off. Then spray everything down with water (water kills pollen). Then hope they don’t grow more.

What I had during my grow.

Can I snip the sacks and save them? Or do i need to drop the whole branch?

I just pulled the nuts. Every morning and night I would check the plant over
