As far as did the leaves grow, what you see here is pretty much what grew in the last 4 weeks. I had already defoliated the lower half of the plant and the little fluffy buds just came up where the nodes should have been for new branches. Most of the photosynthesis must have occurred from the sugar leaves inside of the buds. If you zoom in you can see all of the fan leaves are coming out of buds and not by themselves.

I do this pretty much with every harvest, indoors. Especially, when I gotta keep the tent running, to finish out others anyhow. Always nice to get that extra ounce or so

Outdoors only, but I like to harvest the creme of the crop, The big colas and long branches loaded up with lots of medium sized buds. I enjoy the trimming so much less when I have to fuss with all the small stuff. After all its about enjoying the whole grow, and the trimming is my least favorite part.
I like to let whatever is left go on another 2-3 weeks while I decide if maybe its worth re-vegging. If not nothing lost and if the buds are big enough and I have enough time Iāll pick them off with my fingers and make butter in the crock pot.

So, hereās what I came back to with the under the canopy left over popcorn buds after being gone for a week.
Are these light tan dead sections lack of water? Too many nutes? Light burn? Dried out downward from the stem cut point?
Iām not sure what to make of them??

Looks like the Brown area is closest to the light.
My 1st thoughts would be light burn.

Kind of a tough call, but if you were gone for a week how dry was the pots when you returned. Also how close is it to the light?

Pot was not really bone dry and I had the lights on only 50% power at 11 inches from tops.
Bit remember these buds were previously hidden in the shade. Could that be light shock?

I feel like you nailed it , small hidden buds not use to getting a lot of light , 11 inchs might have been a little close.

As a precaution for the time being to prevent more damage, I just quickly dialed back the power from 50% to 25%.
Will think about it some more and readjust tomorrow when I have more time.

Brown spots are end of life, but I see tiny new green leaves. Iād re-veg if it was a favorite. 20 on 4 off, should start to have new growth in a few weeks. I tried it once and out of 4 plants only one made it back. I cut some big buds off one and then let the smaller ones go another few weeks. Never decided if they really get any bigger.

Harvest and try next time. First losses are usually smallest. Since just staging might as well pick the fruit. Just my thoughts. That is gonna progress. Have had it happen.

Reminds me of 1985 when I got busted for cultivation. Had six small plants that I kept in continues harvest mode.

Without sharing any personal or location specific information, do you mind sharing how you got caught and what happened to you?
Got busted in Oklahoma where I live now. I donāt know who really turned me in. It could have been any number of people. But my moneys on my then current wife. Turns out she was mentality ill, being bipolar, manic and multiple personalities. She outed herself with me and others close to me by not wanting to come home the day the bust went down. We were on a trip to my mothers and I needed to get back and manage my oil leases. She did not want to go home at all that day. Like she knew what was going to happen. And once the bust went down all her legal stuff was all fake and a mock up. And there was absolutely no stress on her part. While she was arrested and we did have a young child involved she never had to go to court, serve time, fight with the system or pay any fines. It was all show and go. I on the other hand got ran through the wringer. But the DA and Judge misjudged the public support I had from vips in the state and the money and lawyer I could bring to bare. They wanted to put me away for 20 to 40 years. But only got 30 days, $50k in fines and I had $50k in lawyer fees. The next guy they busted got 20 years for one plant and I was barred from helping and supporting him because of the rules of my probation. I feel bad to this day because I basically beat the system up pretty bad and his life got ruined. I had so much pull with certain people I even pissed off the sheriff and his staff because I still ran my oil business from the jail while doing my 30 days. They knew they had screwed with the wrong cat when it was all said and done. Thatās not to say it wasnāt stressful and a big mess. There was no way in hell I was doing 20 to 40 years for a personnel weed grow. I had a way to get to Mexico City and if I had to fight I would take people down with me. Clean or Ugly you dumb, your choiceā¦

What an amazing story! Not sure I could live thru all of that myself. I donāt think Iām that strong. Gee whiz!
My daughter and her husband lived in OK when medical cannabis became legal. My daughter actually had a legit reason (arthritis) to get her card and they both smoked legally but had to hide it from the landlord.
So sorry for you. I quit smoking in 1985 when I no longer enjoyed it and I would have not been a grower anyway due to fear and paranoia of getting caught.

Ok I cut my losses but wet trimmed the tiny amount of small buds at the bottom. I trimmed off all of the dead stuff.
I have another friend whom I will give that to. I might get 8 grams out of them.
