I’ve been doing a lil research with added light. I’m def gonna get a far red light after I get my blackbird.

I have a smart light set to blue facing my plants in veg. Looking for to add some lateral growth

Also I was reading the lack of blue light during vegging is bad bc it makes your plants experience " Shade avoidance sydrome". Most of what gets filtered out through thr canopy is blue. Interesting stuff. I figure more light csnt hurt and I’d these 2 girls explode I’ll do it again haha. If it works again I won’t do it the next time and see what happens. That way I can tell if it’s the extra blue

I have used blue led 460nm to finish with a blue spectrum. I did notice different terepene profiles with treated and untreated. GSCX went from mint smell to a harder diesel after blue. Believe @Hellraiser has done finising bulb before as well.

Well I can tell you it ain’t BS and unlike 48hrs of dark it works. Switching to MH the last week makes them frostier.

So the 48 hours of darkness doesn’t work ?

I really saw no difference minimal at best but switching to MH makes a very noticable difference. More potent

Well I won’t be switching to MH but I’ll be swapping back to my vegging light last few days before harvest. Week 9 starts on the 27th so I gotta start preparing.

How strong is your vegging light?

The same strength as my flowering light. Not the best but good enough plus I have a few I can use. Ordering the HLG Blackbird next month. Just got my tent , trellis net , ducting and pots from AC Infinity.

Going ok. I’ll use thse GE lights for side lighting after my other lights come in so my lower bud sites get light.

I use three 4ft 70 watt full spectrum Led’s for my side lighting. I just missed a big buck so my head ain’t in it right now, think I need glasses as he was 100 yards broadside

Expose plants to UVA and UVB light during the last 2 r 3 weeks for 2 to 3 hours a day to improve THC production. Purpose built flo. tubes r best for UV production. But they r starting to show up n commercial lights. HLG has 2 UV lights available on their site.

I have UVA grow lights coming which i will be using in flowering and i was thinking about adding more red aswell

Yea Dutch passion has that posted all over their site , I guess it’s a relatively new technique, my guess is that the returning to a blue spectrum makes it think springs just arrived after an exceptionally mild winter so it rushes to finish maturation to seed the earth
