Or Too much Nitrogen? Or what? I am about to flip them to Flower Stage. In the past week, since I pushed them from 16/8 to 20/4 on the lights, 4 of my 6 have started turning yellow on their tips. The bigger leaf that is yellowing all the down it’s fingers is the only one like that and it was kinda stuck in next to the Stalk if that makes a difference. They are growing so fast and I pluck the leaves that are turning yellow when I see them. I pluck them all and then 2 or 3 days later they have completely filled back in and then a day or 2 more I am plucking more. I know that before there was barely anything sprouting near the Stalk and now it’s super full on all of them, but most on the bottom half of each so I imagine those parts aren’t getting the light they need. I have them as far apart as possible so the reflection from walls, ceiling, and floor reflection can get to as much as is possible. And also so the air from the fans can be more productive. I change their place in there every couple of days. The light is now more than a arms length above the tops and at 75%, I don’t have room to raise it any higher.
Any help is appreciated. This is the only Forum I post in and my last posting got one response but zero answers. I sure hope I get some answers now because idk what’s going on and what to do to fix it. Especially since I been waiting to flip them since my last posting and so it needs done as soon as is possible.
Thanks so much! - Karen

Leaves come and go. Whole plant pics would be very helpful.

Lol! Yeah, dang you were quick. I thought I was to proof the post prior to adding but something went wrong there. Sorry about that.
The pics show a little too much nitrogen, but otherwise look okay.
Your plant looks fine. Don’t worry about a few blemishes here and there.

So then, when I flip them thr nutrients ill be different and they will lose most if the Nitrogen and gain the Phosphate and Potash, right? So I should go ahead and flip them on their next feeding and use the new Nutes? Is this ok, or should I try to get something else real quick!
Hey! Thanks for answering and responding. Much appreciated for real. -Karen

Awesome! Cause I really was. I went through light burn in their beginning and this is my try at it, so bringing them back and learning about the proper pH and they are stunted now too… I definitely am concerned over every little thing.
Nitrogen is very important during the first 4 to 5 weeks of flowering during the “stretch.” The plant experiences its most rapid growth during this period and it is nitrogen that powers that growth. Continue to feed a nitrogen product until harvest.

Awesome. Thanks dude. So I won’t use the Maxi Bloom at all.
While I have you hear, what are your thoughts on Organic Grows with products like the Living Soil?
I’m not at all familiar with organic grows, sorry.
Aiy, me neither. I was doing some reading last night and it seems like a phenomenal concept, if done correctly anyway. No need for nutes in the water and you can reuse the soil mix indefinitely. So would save some serious cash. I still have time for researching different methods and mediums, at least 8 weeks, I guess, to figure out how to fo my 2nd try. If you have any ideas or suggestions for my research, I’d be glad to hear them.
Thanks again for helping me out today. You the best. YAY YOU!
Organic is the way to go IMO. I use fox farm happy frog mixed with perlite, fox farm fruit and flower 4-9-3, and worm castings. Then top dress with the same after 4 weeks. Also use some kelp me kelp you during veg, and bio thrive bloom during flowering. And Recharge every once in a while. That’s what works for me.

Im in the middle of growing organically in living soil but i still use synthetic fertilizers like Jacks 321. It helps simplify it for me. I am looking at it as using training wheels to get me to go full organic gowing… making teas and top dressing to feed. I am also making my own soil compositions. In a few years i will be growing totally organic. Using up all the natural resources mother nature has to offer. This is the way to go because its environmentally freindly and overall healthier for the plants…

Ihy. Nice looking gal there. So with the premix you don’t have to do Nutes or anything? Maybe some Cal mag, I think it’s called?
Ok. So is it the brand Living Soil that you’re using? And adding extra nutes isn’t hurting them? If that’s the case maybe I should think of some other medium.
No, i use Coast of Main Stonington blend now. It has enough nutrients in it to last 4-6 weeks. You dont add nothing except properly pHed water. I like to add Mycorrizhe and unsulphured black strap molasses once a week. Then it all depends what fertilizers you chose on when to start feeding. If you go with Coast of Main top dressings then start feeding the 3rd week because it takes 2 weeks for the top dressing to start metabolism in the root zone. If using a synthetic, like Jacks 321 then wait until 5th or 6th week to feed. Always checking your run off PPMs and pH will let you know when and how much to feed. 1000 ppm in runoff is optimal. PH 6.5

I mix in some fox farm fruit and flower 4-9-3 per the amount suggested by fox farm. And some worm castings. Along with some additional perlite. I do occasionally add some cal mag to my water. And once I used some epsom salt in the water. I also use Recharge occasionally. I really like that stuff. It’s not a nutrient though. It just supplies microbes to the soil that helps the plant uptake the nutrients in the soil better. This plant has only been flowering 25 days, and is my first outdoor attempt. I usually grow indoors. Just took this pic. Can’t wait to see what it does over the next few weeks.

Wow! Beautiful. I saw that stuff you mentioned at my ace store today. Kinda wondered what its purpose was. Thanks for the info.
