Gotcha
That’s weird I never heard of anyone’s water being so pure (?) out of the tap
our well goes just over 200 ft down. it’s in a good underwater stream. isn’t processed or moved thru miles of metal piping so it doesn’t pick up sediment from the piping system. only explanation i know of. very good tasting water also.
Sounds awesome
I really should get my wells fired back up and have some samples tested.
might be worth it. nothing like good well water. no chlorine or any other additives. depends on where your’e at also. I have kin in Oklahoma and they can’t even use their water without distilling it first. Too much sulfur in it.
Lone Star native, your kins east neighbor now🤘
I’ve been here 3 1/2 hrs now and still haven’t messed with the pump house.
Really need to. We also have a ummmmm, can’t ever remember what they call this thing. It’s a concrete box in the ground, right outside the well house. Half full of sand and rock I think. Other side appears to be clean water.
Could be a shallow well, some areas with a lot of sand and a high water table. Anything less than 50 deep to very shallow, hand pump type I have em with a centrifugal pump too come to think of it, not really suitable for drinking but could be, more washing, watering, farm animals kind thing. But I’d still get it tested, the tests around here are like $10.
I know what you are thinking but not this case. we do have a hand dug well with cool old rock surround. It’s not deep anymore at all because of sediment through the years and noone maintaining it. This water filter contraption is just that. A crude early years water filter. A couple of people have been up and called it something. On the tip of my tongue, starts with S
Cistren, with sand filter. I think, and it’s OLD
Yeah a Cistern, sometimes modified to be a Biosand filter…Shit If its got a bottom pickup after all the sand and stone sediment trap it might be good water, I’d get it tested for the hell of it.
Hello I could really use some advice my plant is about 8 months old and I feed with fox farm fertilizer of about 3ml a gallon Ph level is 6.5-7.0 I don’t really test PPM cuz I’m not sure what it even means or how to do it. I use big roots soil and I grow indoor in tents I use sun raise light of about 1000w 12/12 light schedule. My question is my plant is displaying some difficulties that I think may be a big problem and I’m not sure what to do I googled a few things and I’m thinking maybe root rot? I’m not sure any advice would help.
Looks like some beginnings of Bud Rot, root rot becomes pretty systemic fast and obviously in the soil.
PPM is parts per million, like EC electrical conductivity - in simple terms how strong the Nutes are. SO the very basic and most important tools needed are a PH meter and a TDS (total dissolved solids) to measure EC/ppm. The issue I see is a Humidity issue the bud rot, the green parts of the plant look a healthy green. Ventilation in the tent? an Auxiliary fan for Circulation? Remove all those Grey/Brown areas before it spreads and treat that with some Dilute H202/water to try and stop it. I’m about to take off for work so I wont be able to answer, hope this info helps a bit, but I am sure some other awesome growers will chime in and help ya.
I was in the tree stand reading Pet_de_Chien’s post on my phone and thought he was replying to me about bud rot. I see now he was replying to Yungcuzz52. Had me worried. But just in the case, I looked at mine and I don’t think I have that. Not yet anyway. I also pulled a couple of the browned/burnt sugar leaves off of a couple different buds and the leaf is green and sticky at the base of the leaves. It’s burnt/brown out past the buds only it appears. Is that a good sign against bud rot?
Sorry buddy, no need to panic totally diff animal than what you had goin on. Hope that all turned in the right direction for you, well as much as it will.
Thanks! Yeah had me goin for a minute. Didn’t climb out of the stand early but did make a beeline home. Still to early to tell if flushing has helped out or not. I am being very cautiously optimistic. Hope Yungcuzz figures his out.
