Is this a sign of pre-flowering

Plant is 5 weeks today and during my usual inspection I saw this. Being a newbie, I want confirmation lol

You will see white hairs come from the calyx once she’s sexually mature and it just lets you know she’s ready to flower when you are. This is a photoperiod plant and not an auto, correct?

Okay, but I’m talking about the little green bump next to it. I tried to blow the pic up but it started getting blurry

@my3_tan. I think that is the start of a new leaf /branch from the pics. It appears to be on the side branch not the main stem. I would wait for @MattyBear to confirm but looks good :v:

Nope just branching. Give her more time. You will know because 2 major developments that are simple.

  1. Branching- the first branches will develop additional branches like the stem does.
  2. There will be top sights where your new branches tops will be very bright and growing rapidly.
You can put into flower at anytime with a photo after it’s a month old. Size matters. Maturity matters, but technically you can put into flower as soon as you see the fourth set of true (finger) leaves.
    Just like topping.
I’ve never tried but did witness my GSC sprout outdoors and go into this transformation in early stages of growth. It’s a monster cropper now. Check my journal and good luck.
