Grew up in the country but no matter
That is F,ing ![]()
@Woodrow lmfao ![]()
@New.growth just recently have been taking off…the last couple weeks…3 days ago I checked and checked again the next day and it grew 2"
@JamJam yea I feel she’s about to start to take off now
Hope all goes well for ya gromie! The one oldest one doesn’t want to stop growing it’s over 20" now while the other same exact age (5 weeks) and atmosphere is sitting at 14"![]()
@JamJam nice same to you bud but she’s definitely picking up now
if you compare this one to the original picture@TheAlchemist back to my original question when would be the best time to LST a plant
Imo, When there’s 4-6 nodes on the plant and growth is vigorous. Low stress training isnt NO stress training. The idea is, bend em over and open em up when you know they are healthy and doing well. Otherwise the stress is just gonna delay them ya dig. Depending on the plant that could be at 4 nodes, 5 etc.
Notice how these bottom stems are catching up. That’s because I fimmed this auto (I dont like topping autos). If I were growing in a fabric pot like I used to, I’d let these keep growing up a bit more then pull then down to the outside because I’m getting good growth. But because I’m in hydro and for an assortment of aesthetic reasons I’ll likely just fim a few more times on these little branches as they get bigger and end up with a bush.
@TheAlchemist how does the FIM technique work I get how lst and topping works but never looked into FIM
I had one like this that was super slow for my liking I grabbed it and pulled it up too look at its roots and told it it was weak. Crushed it up and flung it like a booger.
Fim is just topping but late to the show. Fim is f@ck i missed topping
Like when u go to top but you missed. U fim. F I MISSED
Aftwr a while you learn not every plant is going to be worth your time. Do a few extra leave the slow ones behind. Or put them into experiments or out in the field and not worry about them. Or just grow em
Do whatever you want with em there yours lmao
@GrizzlyGrows I don’t think this one is growing slow its growing at a pretty decent rate imo lol
Im.just saying for me. Its growing jist fine im not saying rip it up and call it names lol ypu never know it could have a monster root system and just explode and be huge
Same premise as topping essentially. You cut high on the node, the plant goes omg something bit my head off and starts sending energy to all the other shoots in attempts to create a new apex. And then you can fim eatch one again or not. Every time u do youre divining energy and making new colas but also stressing the plant and making it wider versus taller. My cream mandarin I fimmed 4x. I’ll tag u on my journal.
@GrizzlyGrows naw I get what you’re saying
@TheAlchemist when did you start FIM
