First time growing with a seed I’ve had rolling around in a box for a few years so not much expectation. But built a grow box and went for it, I used a peat pellet for germination and I’m at day 5. I noticed yesterday the root was spouted but heading up not down. I let it be but this morning decided to carefully remove the little sprout with tweezers and straighten it out. Has anybody experienced this before? were there any things I should’ve noticed or looked for in the root as I straightened the sprout?
Welcome to the forum , should be fine. I was on another post where a girl recieved advice so she planted hers upside down too. It turned out OK.

Box seems like it would work , don’t like the lights.
I need to take some pictures, but what I did was very similar. The lights I’m curious of, I’m using 2 cfl’s on either side and A LED grow light directly above. All stuff I got at home depot and ace

It all comes down to your budget and goal.
Your killin it on a budget bro. Im somthing of a soothsayer around here. Im good with predicting the future.
You will grow bud with that setup.
You will then want to know how to grow more from a plant.
You will be back for advice how.
With all that said, your going to be disappointed with how much each plant yields usi g those lights. Dont sweat it. When you get a grow under your belt youll have the fever! Then we will tackle expansion.

It is with a heavy heart I report that my child has not made it. Sprouted taproot but 24 hours later no activity and root looks kind of shrivled.

Is what it is, since that was the only seed I have(more on the way), I will use down time to make some adjustments to my grow box. I call it the UAF, Ugly As
