I started my four Fastbuds autos three weeks ago using a 600w MH. They’re doing wel,l. Today is day 22, and we gave them their second dose of LST, a light feeding, and I installed my new 1000w MH. Wow is it bright!
Raised the light a bit. So far heat is a non issue. I’m using an air cooled, enclosed reflector, and the tent is well vented. Will keep you posted.

Thats some serious wattage for veg. Must be a large footprint.
Higher energy bill aside, can it hurt anything?

@Beard-O Keep an eye on ur distance to light and stay up on the environment you should be good.
I’m using 2 x 600’s in vented hoods in my room.
I’ve found that the 1000 w will cook the tops if you get too close to the glass.
The 600’s not so much.

I’m around 4’ above the plants. After reading your reply, I placed my hand under the glass, and I don’t feel any noticable heat below 20".

With auto flowers I use a 1000w 6 bar LED 4 weeks of veg I keep it 30 in from the top of the canopy at 75%
When I hit flower I move it down to 15 in and turn it up to 100. The auto flowers love it. Easy simple and very effective
