I have a surplus of bud that didnt have that good of a terpene profile and still has that “grass” smell. Curing it didn’t change anything. I have these terpenes that Ive obtained and I’ve heard things on YouTube about putting a couple drops just from the lid of the jar in the bud is supposed to absorb the terpenes. Has anybody done this before? I dont even know who to tag…

You can add terpenes to dry bud or ground flower… the mix is approximately 2 drops per gram of bud… if it were me, I would probably just spray a small amount on the weed you are planning to smoke just not adding too much as they can be pretty strong (think essential oils). I don’t think I would add it to the canister of weed… just as you use it. Just don’t be too disappointed if it doesn’t add a lot of flavor, but it will add the profiles that were lost in the drying and curing process.

I’ve used it in making vape cart’s an it worked. The problem would be getting it spread out even over your bud. I think True Terps told me a ratio of 3% in my carts. You can go on line to their site & chat with them about it or call them. I think it’s toxic if mixed too strong so be careful. I switched to Abstrax cuz of price & the customer service

This discussion came up about a month ago. One of the contributors was big fan but said they were very potent. He said best to put one or two drops on a piece paper tower and put that in jar.

I should add that I was interested until I found out that the True Terpine bottles cost $20 for the smallest amount, that there is only a one year shelf life, and they would like you to order 10 bottles. I’d only go through a 5-10 drops or so for each flavor of bud I grow. Best use is large commercial operation where they would grow lots of bud.

I’m interested as well they had some ghetto taste drops back in my day 20 yrs ago… called tasty puff… its amore fruity novelty bullshit taste but and thing. Wed cigarette cigar…all tasted like the stuff… there wason called hypnotique and smelled like good weed… I put it in a miss oz. And got crip money for it when I was a shitty kid lol

Another additional comment…
The topic caused me to search out more about Terpenes. Being discouraged that True Terpene was not oriented toward small growers I kept looking.
The way True Terpene worked is buy harvesting terpenes from other plants, since it’s illegal to extract them from cannabis itself, and they design a taste by mixing various terpenoids together.
Further research led me to a company that attempts to improve terpenoids by enhancing those terpenoids that are already found in the plant. They developed a product called Terpinator. They claim it is compatible with any other feeding regiment you might have.
A more recent development from the same company is called Purpinator. It enhances the terpenoids same as Terpinator with the added effect of enhancing purple colors in plants that are prone. It can be used with other colors too, just won’t enhance them. I bought some about a month ago to give it a try. Nothing to report back yet.

@pillsbury @Arrow , check out a company called i found called Cali Terpenes. They make a sprayable version as opposed to the 2ml liquid dropper bottles BUT, its kinda pricey imo. I think this would work way better when it comes to infusing terpenes into dry flower as it allows you to spray a decent amount. I might spend the money on it. Or atleast inquire about a sample.
