I’m starting a grow journal to document my growing experience. To provide some context, I’ll give a little history of my grow experience. My first grow experience was in 2001, and I vegged northern lights, and blueberry under fluorescents, make clones, and flowered under a 400 watt hps at my buddy’s house. After that, I grew with housemates with usually 1000 watt hps off and on for about 10 years, and then completely stopped.
Since legalization, I’ve been been dabbling with outdoor, and have been upping my outdoor game for the last couple of years. This year I did my best and got at least a couple pounds off of 6 greenhouse plants that I had to keep no taller than 7 feet high. I should have enough herb until next year’s harvest, which I couldn’t be more stoked about.
Because things went so well this year I figured I’d up my game some more. I got my six plants from a friend this season, and I decided I want to start my own plants from seed in a veg room next season. I don’t want to have to rely on someone else for young plants. So, I bought a super cheap Glixer LED off of Amazon and just converted half of my paint room into a 4’8 x 4’8 veg room. I plan on starting vegetable starts inside too, to get a jump on the season. After deciding to do all of this, it occurred to me that I may be able to flower autoflowers in my veg room at the same time. So, I bought some ILGM Zkittles autoflower seeds and will be flowering a couple in the room.
Now I know that I have a small cheap light, but I’m open to getting another light to supplement, or maybe even two more. I just don’t want to be paying a ton in power. I’ve seen $1000 power bills and I’m not down. 
This is going to be my journal documenting my indoor/outdoor growing operation. I live in Northern California and will only be growing six plants at a time. I’d love for you to follow along, and offer any constructive criticism, or advice along the way. I have a decent amount of growing experience, but have seldom done things all by myself and am definitely not an expert. This is gonna be a long term grow journal. I got the room partially set up today (built wall/cleaned), but I’m using it to dry some remaining greenhouse harvest for the next couple weeks and then I’ll be flipping the lights on.
