Thank you sir!!!
Thanks everyone for the replies and discussion. Since I’m new (again, smoked some when I was much younger), I’ll see over time if and what kind of vaporizer to get. For now, I bought a $10, 4.5-ish inch pipe at the local dispensary. It works. It’s pretty - LOL. But I don’t like the big bowl and it doesn’t sit horizontally straight making it seems a bit clumsy to me, and the smoke can be hot. So, it works, but I might look into a water pipe/bubbler. I’ll see. I don’t smoke that often or that much - yet, LOL. I’m really appreciating the therapeutic benefits of mj; when I was young, it was about getting high/stoned. A few years on me has changed mj to “therapy”.
@Twelve1 enjoy man!
I use it as therapy too… I qualified for my medical card due to both a spine injury last May and the chronic pain that resulted, but really it’s my insomnia cure, and helps me to go easy on the booze.
Nothingshocking, wow, so sorry about the spinal injury and the resulting chronic pain! (hugs)
I have been strictly vaping for a few years now and prefer it to smoking hands down. Taste is better and the effects are better in my opinion as well.
I have tried a few different ones over the years. Started with the pax 2 and liked it. Then got the crafty, I liked it, but returned it for the DaVinci iq. I liked that one as well so I got the miqro too.
Just recently got the dynavap m and absolutely love it! No batteries is the way to do it! For sure!!
My Xmax Starry v3 finally arrived, don’t laugh. Puff it up delivered it to the post office and as far as I can tell they lost it. They returned my money though, I gave it close to a month because I felt bad taking a refund from a small business guy, but it never came.
I ended up odering it from a different site, and with a discount code I got it for somewhere in the $65-$70 dollar range - pretty much the can’t go wrong range. It didn’t come with a free grinder like the other deal, so I bought a couple on amazon for $10.
Anyway, it seems pretty nice - I tried it with a low heat and it didn’t do much but in the 390-400 range it is giving off good puffs.
I guess I’m done smoking weed.
Thanks @Caveman86 thanks to you Ive ordered yet another vape
You’ll love it! Truly, you will!!
My post was from March 6th I believe, and it’s when I got the 2020M model. Since then I’ve gotten the older Omni version, a bb9 glass stem with a ti tip and cap, a bb6 stem with a stainless tip and cap, and I just got the new 2021 Omni. They also threw in a free 2020M model with the latest Omni purchase so I’m going to gift that to a buddy.
Granted these are for myself and my fiancé, but we love them. She uses the bb6 as her daily driver and I use the new Omni as my daily driver.
We started with the pax 2 and liked it. Then we tried the crafty, but weren’t really fans for some reason that I forget now. I was able to swap that out in the store for a davinci iq that we liked. Then we both got davinci miqros and these were our daily drivers for a long time.
Now that we each have a dynavap we haven’t used anything else.
You won’t be disappointed and instead of buying different vapes, you’ll probably end up buying different variants of the dynavap.
Happy vaping!
Cool thanks for the info.
Ive got a Boundless CF, which was my 4th vape purchase then a couple of weeks ago I got a Mighty.
The boundless is excellent value and works great. Only fault gets pretty hot if you thrash it. Im still dialing the Mighty in so probably not getting the best out if it yet.
What lighter do you recommend for the dynavap ?
Cheers
I haven’t really found a go to lighter yet. I had a zippo style vertigo torch that I liked, but the tank cracked on it yesterday. That was a dual flame and I liked it. I also ordered a zippo dual flame insert which came, but my fiancé took it. Like I said the vertigo torch I had broke yesterday while I was out and about so I picked up a triple flame vertigo and that seems to be good to. I like the tank size on the triple torch. The dual flame zippo style one I had to refill multiple times a day, but I also use it a lot so it’s to be expected. I’d like to get an induction heater, but the ones on dynavap are sold out atm and not sure what other option are reliable and what not.
If you have any suggestion on a lighter I’m all ears, but that’s what I’ve been using so far.
I really like the iolite for a portable dry herb vape. Volcano for home use. Iolite runs off butane, heats up in about 20 seconds from cold, to 374°F or 190°C. Auto reignites and maintains temperature no matter how hard you hit it. Looks like a walky talky .
How do you like the XMAX Starry V3?
Fergus-
I would think once you get that mighty dialed in you will be very happy with it, and won’t have to worry about what lighter to use. I wish there was a way you could “test drive” vapes. I have bought 3 now and two of them produce no clouds or even anything visible. The Pax 2, and a Mig Drez. The very cheapest one I have works good but gets too hot after 3-4 hits. My next vape purchase will likely be the Crafty+. I went through and read all the reviews on the Mighty and Crafty+ and there were no negative reviews. It was all 4’s and 5’s out of 5 stars. The reason for the 4’s was some people wanted the ability to swap out
batteries or wished the batteries lasted longer. That’s my 1 penny on the subject Fergus. Good luck with your vape endeavors and your grows too! Peace…
@Twilve the starry X Max was a bust. I get a sensor error every time i try to use it after a couple weeks. The vendor says the manufacturer is great at replacing but i was so disappointed by the product i haven’t bothered. I guess i should I’m out $65 but if the first broke after 10 or so normal uses, i don’t have much faith in the replacement.
Sorry to hear that. Let us know if you have success with other vaporizers.
Last night, I bought the Starry for $63.50, so I thought I’d give it a try. I’ve never used a dry vape before, and hopefully it will work, LOL. I don’t even know how much I’ll use or like a dry vape or not, and I didn’t want to put out much money at first. I won $50 in the lotto on Saturday, woo hoo, so I’m flushing it into this new venture. I’ll keep this thread updated.
@Twelve1 if you have problems use the warrantee, it will cover you for a year. I’m just lazy and like poking smot anyway
Love, love, love my Crafty+. The Pax3 is great for on the go but the Crafty blows it away IMO. The dosing capsules are a game changer as well.
I tried the bud caps for the Pax with mixed results.
If you want a quality “vape” experience at a fraction of the price of a good one the Dynavap are also VERY much worth looking into.
