@bob31 @Stomper Beginning of week 11 was yesterday. These babies are getting red pistils already. But they’re not real fat buds - I mean - probably like 1/2" across - they’re nice buds - was just curious how long I should wait to harvest and dry - if they look alright - don’t wanna mess it up since I’ve gotten them this far.

You can wait some still. White hairs on top means it’s still growing some. If you have the means check the trichomes.
So the pistils should be mostly all red before I do it then? What do I look for on the trichomes?
When you look at trichs at minimum you want them all cloudy. This is the earliest maturity stage. After that the trichs start turning Amber as the THC degrades. The Amber THC is what has the sleepy effect. So the more Amber the more couch lock. Gittyup smoke is all milky almost no Amber. Good stoner smoke is about 50% Amber and medicinal sleep meds are 90% beyond that it starts loosing potency.

I’m wanting some like - 50/50 couchlock/creativity - so I should probably stick with the 50/50 amber/milky? I ordered a jeweler’s loupe today - will be here Tuesday so I can get a much closer look. Will try to post some pics too…next go-around I’ll know exactly what I’m looking for to harvest. There are a few pretty decent sized buds on these plants - I’m pretty happy with them and anxious already to start the next round.
@Stomper Awesome. Once I get the loupe, I’ll try to get some pictures to post here. Do I need to stop watering for a period before I harvest? I haven’t used any nutrients or anything, just ro water. I only water every 3-4 days now when the soil is dry.
Keep watering. There is a guide to harvesting in the guides section above. A lot of folks do a flush (running three times the size of the containers worth of clean water thru it) while others stop feed for two or three watering before the harvest to get nasty tasting minerals out of the plant.

@bob31 @Stomper Took the girls out of the tent today to check trichomes…nice and milky with a hint of amber. So I picked a bud or two to try out. Put the stove on 170 and did 4 cycles of 10 minutes. Put it in a bowl and not only does it taste good, it’s pretty smooth and gives a good body/head high without having either the couch lock OR the upper qualities. Can’t wait to see what it’s gonna be like when it’s dried and cured properly. Gonna be a great harvest!!! Will update when I have weights after harvest.

@bob31 @Stomper Went ahead and harvested Snoop. Really chill high - milky trichomes - few amber. Going to let Martha keep going for another week or so - she’s a little behind Snoopy - but - hanging them up to start the process so here we go!

@bob31 LOL Right? All in their own little tray. Scale will be here Tuesday so I’ll get a one plant weight. Minus what I’ve toked haha

@bob31 @Stomper Alright - got a weight on Snoop - 40 grams - now - I’ve smoked quite a bit out of that so I’d imagine probably in the ballpark of 44 or so grams - not bad. Going to wait a few more on Martha but will update.
