ILGM purple haze second grow!

You could use that
I just use this for most of my pruning…

Cannabis is after all one of those finger foods.
I would just leave the tie down as is…it will heal over…just don’t adjust that one for a bit and give it some time to harden up…looks like it happened awhile ago.

@Covertgrower @Bulldognuts @Skydiver @Bubblehead so I’ve fed them today and I see points of flower so I did the first feed of flowering nutes. Only issue is I finally got my large plant to runoff without overwatering it and my pH is reading 5.09 on my run off. Ppm is 3020 I know I’m in the danger zone with pH is there anything I can do at this point to fix it? She doesn’t look sad other than a little underwatered because the middle of the soil doesn’t want to dry out so I may have caught it before it gets bad. Here’s pictures!

Your girls are looking healthy. As far as ph if your runoff reading is accurate that is to low. Based on plants overall look I’m not sure that ph is that low. You could do a soil slurry test and get a better idea where ph is, at root zone.

@Bulldognuts how would I do that? And I recalibrated my pH meter to make sure it was accurate it read the solution within .02 so I think it’s accurate. Should I go buy a new meter or assume this one is rightm

Assuming I catch it quick enough I won’t do damage to my plants is what Im going off of right now

Your plants look really healthy
If you only had a small amount of run off it may not be indicative of the overall soil PH.
The soil profile will have varying PH at different areas.
If it ain’t broke…

If you recalibrate it should be accurate. Before you make any changes go ahead and do a slurry test. You need distilled water. Take a spoon or something you can get into soil as far down as possible. Try to remove soil from pot toward edge and go down as deep as you can without damaging roots. Put a few spoonful of soil into a container and slowly add distilled water. Mix it up until its like a thick soup. I was originally told that you should let it sit for at least 12 hours, which I believe is best. Once it sets, take something like a coffee filter and filter out solids from water. You then test water ph. I got side tracked while I was writing this and saw @Skydiver answer. I agree but for future reference this is how to do slurry test.

@Skydiver sounds good I’ll check again next time I water

@Bulldognuts thank you very much! I’ll do that here in a few hours then update with results tomorrow.

I have only done slurry tests for my last two runs. I will share how I do them it is a little different than the method @Bulldognuts shared. I use a spoon to dig down 3-4” half about 2/3 of the way from the stem to the side of the pot. I try to find an area that has as few roots as possible. I always disturb roots, as little as possible but it always happens. I fill a shot glass with the soil from depth. I fill the hole as soon as I take the sample. I put the soil in a cup and then add a shot glass of distilled water. Then swirl the cup to incorporate everything. Let the mixture sit for 15 minutes. I take the readings from the slurry, no filtering. I do both my ph and ppm the same way. Then I’ll pour the slurry back into the pot from which it came. I’ve done several experiments where I take readings at 15 minutes and up to 24-hours later and not seen a significant change in readings so 15-minutes is my standard.

I’m not saying my method is correct. I just find it works for me. Experiment with the info you are getting and see what works for you.

I’ve seen a couple different ways described. The method I used was explained to me so I’m thinking many ways, similar results :+1:

@Bulldognuts @Bubblehead I’ll do a slurry test later for sure and post results but a few hours after the feed and this thing just looks happy as can be. I’ll probably be going for a new pH meter later if the test is the same.

@Covertgrower @Bubblehead @Bulldognuts I did a slurry test and it read 6.4. While doing that I found this leaf and I think one string of a web doing more investigating now. In the meantime any indications you see in this leaf?

Probably just an old leaf due to die off. Especially on the bottom.

@Covertgrower @Skydiver @Bubblehead @Bulldognuts so I’ve tried a flush and giving it nutes (I thought it may be nute burn so I did 3 distilled waterings) but I still have plenty of dying leaves. The one in the picture is well in light and not that old at all. I have new growth and old growth dying every time I water I pull off at least 5 dead leaves from mid to lower canopy some being upper. Here’s pictures If anyone can identify the issue I’d be super greatful. Thank you all and stay safe!
EDIT all pictured leaves today were upper canopy in direct light around the middle of the plant. But these are the only ones left since I’ve pulled the majority of already.

Looks like older fan leaves on the bottom. You lose a few of those.

Do they normally spot around like that all of the other older ones just turned yellow and fell off he seemed to be slightly new @Covertgrower basically all original fan leaves are gone and some new growth looks the same

They all show differently, but when they don’t get enough light on the bottom they die off.

@Covertgrower sounds good I’ll trim them off and continue on thanks again man you’ve been a huge help!
