@Covertgrower @Skydiver I started trying to low stress train the one of them but I kind of don’t understand it still I know it’s pretty straight forward but maybe I’m dense I don’t know lol I used some yarn since it’s so soft and made every leaf spread out here’s a picture. What do you guys use to tie them down? And do you tie them down or pull them out?

It’s all about flattening them down to expose as many bud sites you can.
I grow in fabric pots and use rubber coated gardening wire and large safety pins that I stick into the fabric. When they are that young and small it’s tough to conceptualize things but as they get bigger the picture comes more into focus.

See the pins and green tie downs…on pot near top.
With plastic pots you’ll need to drill some holes into the top area I think…never used plastic but there are many ways to do so.
I also use U shaped garden stakes when they are young and as they grow bigger transition to the pins and rubber coated wire.

@Skydiver so does what I’ve done right now seem right? It seems like it’ll grow outward not upward which is my goal right now. Maybe I should use more u shaped things instead of pulling it down all the way across.

Skydiver has you covered here.

You have the idea but she is so small.
I usually don’t start doing anything to them for a while longer.
Like this big…

When you do tie them down you’ll be tying the branches down not the fan leaves…I think that’s what I’m seeing the yarn cross…will be a week or so before the branches are long enough to think about doing that.
I use the garden U stakes at first and as they grow bigger and branches and to get closer to sides of pots I transition to safety pins and tie downs. Also use garden Velcro too but not much anymore.

You’ll get this Down but like anything else it will take practice and the more you do it the better you’ll be at it and your style will change as you go.

@Skydiver sounds good to me I’ll take the yarn off tomorrow then and try again in another week or so. It was kind of hard to keep the yarn on the branches but your right it’s probably because it’s so small. My last plant never seemed to branch out much

@Covertgrower @Skydiver here’s the weekly update. Temps are around 60-65 night and 75-80 day humidity is about 45 seemingly day round. I’m noticing a lot of redish purpling on the stems and on my last grow it was magnesium but I don’t see how it’s deficient so young. What are the chances the plant is just gonna be purple because it’s purple haze :joy::joy: my other plant may have self topped? It has 3 branches and I’m just confused at this point. Here’s pictures! If you guys think I should start giving some Epsom salts let me know.

Looking good to me I wouldn’t feed them anything but water for now.

@Skydiver is that color change in the stems normal? Also all stores around me are closed so until I get the chance I’m using yarn to LST I put it up today. Also have you ever seen a 3 branch plant? What’s up with this other one

If it were me I wouldn’t worry about it unless the leaves start showing signs. I have purple in Some of my stems that I’ve grown.
Plants do their thing and unless there’s an issue I just enjoy the variety of how they grow

@Skydiver @Covertgrower URGENT ISSUE a family member has stumbled upon my plant and blabbed now there is fear in my house it may be used against us legally. Help me please, good covers? Do I kill them and take the room down? Actually grow some tomatoes? I’m a med patient but home grow isn’t allowed yet for patients.

Tough call. You could always move them to somewhere else in the home possibly? Then you could stick some actual tomatoes in there.

On the medical aspect, at least you’re covered there.
Could always take the reasonable approach, and say you’re trying to make it affordable

@Covertgrower what are the chances if I’m caught that qpuld be anything of a defense? Understable at that though because it’s 550 an oz on average here for good bud.

I wouldn’t kill the family member…maybe just an azz whipping …lol
Lose lips sink ships and all. You know them better than I but if your close and have a talk with them explaining things it can’t hurt. After the talk you’ll be better to know what’s next? Invite them to watch this with you…

Tough call

@Skydiver I mean they deserve at least their ass whooped that’s for sure. I just have heard from others now they know about it so it’s already spread a little. I’m not sure what’s next right now maybe I’ll move it back to my closet so I don’t have to kill them I would be quite upset. Maybe I’m just paranoid but it was a secret until now so it may be justified

Getting caught also weighs in on the consequences for growing in your state. With everything happening right now, you might be at the bottom of the list.

@Covertgrower thank you for all the help and advice I’ll probably ditch one of the two and move it back to my old room just to be cautious. I’ll post back with updates next week

@Covertgrower @Bulldognuts topic of topping I think my plant is old enough to top for the first time and I was wondering if I have the idea right here’s the plant to gauge size and where I’ll cut

@Skydiver I forgot to tag you in that topping post and can’t edit it now
