ILGM purple haze fem. 2x4x6 grow tent, viperspectra 450, humidifier, heater and a whole lotta winter - MAINLINED

Thank god for google I think.

They are the same. But depends on the species of kelp that you get your extract from. Bottom line though is they come the brown algae family.

At least that’s what google states

@trizzle2011 I would only add a 1/2 tsp to 1 tsp of tea juice/powder per gallon and use that gallon for the week, it is organic and if you can keep it airated, it will keep the biological microbes alive for use for the week :+1: but thy still don’t even need that much food yet

I was just looking at your water ring. You’re correct in you certainly don’t want to be watering if you don’t need too. I was concerned that you sprinkled a little bit of tea on there and called it done. When you water, do you water until you get a little bit of runoff?

It’s hard to say exactly when you’ll need to feed any. But I wouldn’t expect you need to be right away. I believe most make it 3-4 weeks on ocean forest alone. Considering what you’ve added and the frequency in which you’re requiring water, I would say you’re probably still pretty good for some time. Not that you need to wait for a deficiency, but that that mix you have is claimed to be enough to get the average plant all the way to harvest isn’t it?

Good tip about adding the air pump!

Hahah ya the ring is tricky. I actually took a turkey baster full of tea and pretty much injected it into the solid. I did this around the plant. Then I added some normal water in each of the spots I added the tea to.

Same thing. I just have chlorine in mine. But everything is the same. Does it mean higher cost just means your paying for brand name items?

@trizzle2011 I’m not sure on the cost of yours, I got mine from amazon. This stuff is water soluble, and comparable. Mine doesn’t mention chlorine anywhere.

The primary roles of chloride include: Chloride is important in the opening and closing of stomata. … Chloride also functions in photosynthesis, specifically in the water splitting system. Chloride functions in cation balance and transport within the plant.

So I think what I need to do is test the chlorine levels in my tap water to find out if I need to switch to kelp extrac. That is, if I find out I have signs of excess chlorine.

I love this stuff.

So mine is 12$ for liquid form. This should last me maybe a grow and a half? I’m not gonna gripe of a 2$ difference.

@trizzle2011 this one makes 200 gallons, just trying to help. Almost identical ingredients, just one is powder and one is liquid.

I’m gonna check my measurements later and get back to you on that. I was cross reading some other maxi crop Liquid seaweed and some said to just do a cap full for every gallon. My water was very brown vs what I saw being used in another grow. Either way to much won’t do anything really. Just wasted and could clog up soil. I need to find a way to test my waters mineral levels.

ya, I’m not sure. Not going to say you’re doing it wrong, but I mix my feed per gallon with water and then water to runoff. I believe there are too many inconsistencies in doing it much differently than that. But your plants look good, so hard to change what you’re doing.

Also, chlorine and chloride aren’t the same thing. I’m not qualified to break it down on a molecular level or anything like that. But my understanding is that chloride is essentially a salt probably in the kelp from its habitat.

My bad if I mixed the two. I was meaning chlorine. But again, I think it was one of you that said let your water sit out over night and that should help settle the chlorine levels if they are high.

Probably. I bubble mine with an air stone. Buts it my understanding that chlorine will evaporate by sitting out with perhaps a gentle stir every now and then. No different than a swimming pool really.

I have 3 ph testers. 1 from burpee, the 3-1 and a different model. I tested my soil and the burpee and 3-1 hit 7. And the other hit 6. Not that I’m freaking out, I just want to see if maybe I need to ph my water down a bit more when using my seaweed extract and water. If I get any nuet defiancy, it would be in the micro nuets and not my macro nuets from what I understand. To fix my ocd. I would just water with a plain water ph’d between 5-6 on my next water then testing the soil. If it levels out to between 6-7. Then I was successful in lowering soil ph. And if it rises with my next watering of sea weed and water phd at 6-6.5 and that doesn’t raise it. Then that would mean my tea After Brew must have increased ph. Keep in mind I ph without a digital tester. I prefer the drops. What you guys think.

@trizzle2011 those soil probes are notoriously inaccurate
