Still not understanding where ur getting it. All mixed in the same gallon? Or 3 diff ones? Thats what Im leaning towards, 3 diff jugs. If so… why may I ask?

Also 3400 ppms is a TON for such a small plant… where are u getting those recommended amounts? The schedule? Try half strength and mix em all together. Never heard of anyone separating solutions like that

Sorry, Ya, I mix them in three different jugs, because that is what I was told to do and I was doing the minimum amount on the back of the bottle when mixing them in 1gl of water. Again I am still new at all this, I am trying to follow this feeding schedule.

Day 1 = Water
Day 2 = Food/nutrients
Day 3 = Water
Day 4 = Food/nutrients
so forth and so on and I use this as a guide

but again I could be WAY off base, I use a 1tblsp 3 times from each bottle every other day per plant and 2 cup of water on watering days per plant. I also know that because they are still so small I need to keep them locked on between week 4 and 5.

After reading everything I think I might just do a flush for a week and then keep learning :slight_smile: LOL

Your grow big number looks way out of wack. I had some grow big left over so I mixed a gallon using my tap water. I mixed 3 tsp (actually 15ml is a whole lot easier) in 1 gallon of water. My tap water is around 150 ppm. My bluelab conductivity pen set to 500 read 1160 (EC of 2.3). Which puts the grow big alone at 1000.
You are twice this. Very curious. By chance you didn’t use TBL rather than teaspoons.
The first time I used Big Bloom I used tablespoons. No biggy because it is only worm and bat poo.
The next thing is have you calibrated the pen using the prescribed calibration solution.

I agree with PurpNGold74, beardless and yoshi. Take something from all of them and you will see results!

There is a lot of root growth happening now. They look good just be patient and don’t overthink it! Nutrients are NOT going to help yet cause the soil is so rich and you’ve already fed them more so that could have stunted them. Definitely lower that light and give them some good ph’d water. You mentioned your water going in was 7.1 I would get it down to 6.1-6.5 range for a while getting further out and all the roots like PurpNGold74 said those nutrients got to be skyhigh and I would start trying to get them down. In fact I would take them and water the entire pot to run off and check your output. Put them back under the lowered light and crank the temp up to 83 with an RH of 65-70%. they will feel like they’re in a greenhouse and takeoff!

Here is an edited nutrient chart with PPM’s more in line with where you want to be. Keep in mind this schedule that they have does not necessarily consider a good soil like happy frog or oceans forest. Those soils have enough to carry you all the way to flower

This is straight from the ILGM grow bible if you look under support and go to guides. Our tapwater is 7.2 pH with 230 ppm‘s. decided against dealing with all the distilled water bottles and got two clean 5 gallon buckets filled them up in the bathtub set them in the grow room so it had the same temperature. After 24 to 48 hours the chlorine will evaporate and it’s just as good as distilled. Then it’s just a matter of getting the pH correct. When you get into flowering and your run off is showing less than 1000 ppm you could start adding nutrients again.

You have good water. For kicks, do want to mix a gallon of tap water with 3 tsp of grow big and see what it reads.
I converted all measurements to ml and use syringes to measure liquid nutrients.

Wow, i never knew that.

All good info. Man i love this site! Keep up the green work fellas. Ill be lurking

Before;

After;

Now u add ph up and adjust back into range. Then you add to soil.

Catch and check your runoff. You want at least 20% coming on out of there.

Edit: pots big small plants for runoff today. But thoroughly soak that soil

I am going to have to get some ph up today. I soak them during light cycle correct?i will be test the run off of each plant to test and report and post tomorrow.

Most prefer to feed before or just at lights on. That way they have food and water available during the heat of the day.

Also feeding at night (when humidity naturally spikes) during flower is a NONO. It invites rot and mold and other problems.

All that said, I feed a few hours before lights out cuz it fits my schedule. In flower i try not too, but with 4 kids and a 8-5 and lights on during the day? I only have a small window. It works just fine for me.

So the consensus is yes feed early. But it wont hurt if ur in the evening.

Also understandable. Gotta wait on the amazon monster. I hate telling people this cuz its another nasty habit. But if u need to correct pH in a pinch, baking soda will push it up. Im all organic so try not to use chemicals, so ill add some every so often. But its not something you want in ur soil constantly.

Looks like you are getting some good advice: would not run any nutes for a couple of weeks: this may be holding them back a bit.

That 200 watt light can be moved down within 18 inches assuming all plants can fit under the light footprint. Upgrading to something better would pay off in time for sure. One rule of thumb for lights: anything on Amazon is suspect (there are a couple of exception). I would suggest shopping at Rightbud dot com or similar. Getting an HLG (Horticulture Lighting Group) light would be literally like night and day.

Look around on the forum, ask questions about their lights and you’ll see pretty quickly that light is fundamental to growing well.

I am definitely going to buy an HLG Light. And this is absolutely an amazing place to get knowledge and advice. I was very nervous about posting but it has gotten easier.

If you go through their site, and use the promo code DUDE, you get 10% off… that helps take some of the sting out of the price shock

Yea this is an awesome site and limitless knowledge. Being our first grow almost 3 months back we didn’t know anything. Started with a small Amazon $40 light (seen in back left corner) that barely got our seeds off. Then got an $100 light and thought we were really doing something. Then when that wasn’t enough we got a second $100 light and put them all in there. :rofl::rofl:. Like throwing shit at the wall to see what would stick. Finally got some good advice here and splurged for the HLG 600 R. Difference was night and day.

4 x 4 tent. don’t even need to run at full power.
